Super Stardust is the shiznit!! First game I bought from PSN when I got my PS3 years ago... still one of my favs to play. The cool thing also is that you can customize your music playlist during game play.
I already played and beat inFamous, it's a good game though and if you haven't played it yet definitely check it out. I'm for sure getting LBP, I considered buying it when it first came out. The 2nd game will probably be wipeout
Can't speak for Dead Nation, but all the other games are pretty good. Can't really go wrong with any IMO. I'd probably go with Infamous and LBP if I didn't already own them. Super Stardust HD is pretty awesome, and Wipeout HD is a nice visual+audio experience (plus good racing game...though I'm not big on these type of games). Dead Nation sounds good for what it is too. Store hasn't gone up yet. Still down from the original attack. Only the basic network stuff has gone up (e.g., online multiplayer). Store will hopefully go back up before the end of the month. With publishers losing money on this, they definitely have some pressure to get it back up ASAP. Of course, they also have to make sure everything is secure.
Actually, I was going to say get inFamous over Dead nation, because it's a more fully-fleshed, overall better game. BUT, if you're a co-op junkie, and if your other player is a young kid or a not-so-coordinated lady-friend, Dead Nation is perfect. It's not terribly gory, and it's very simple to play. And I have to say the difficulty scales pretty well, too. It's not as great a game as Scott Pilgrim or Castle Crashers... but hey, still good.
LBP and iNFAMOUS for me. I'm late to the party, nice to see what they are offering though. I never use my PSN....but....time to log back on.
Not as widespread or scary as last time, but still facepalm. http://kotaku.com/5803050/sony-play...ted-customer-accounts-potentially-compromised
What a ****ing joke. Who the hell is in charge of this sort of thing at Sony? And why do they still have a job?
Sony wasn't really hacked, but it wasn't really "nothing" either. The web exploit was pretty bad, and I'm not sure how it got past them. Presumably the new chief security person they hired would have noticed a problem. Or the 3-4 firms they brought in to investigate their infrastructure (although maybe they didn't check out the front-end web stuff). Maybe Sony should get some of their money back. Doesn't sound that bad though (at least it wasn't the gaming network itself). Guessing they might have introduced that with the new password reset system (maybe merged two options into one, but forgot to completely get rid of the old ways, and the exploit could use that). Unfortunately, probably not that uncommon of a security flaw. But for Sony, they should have caught this. They should know that everything is going to be magnified by 100x for the time being. Got to make sure there are no problems like this.
