I'm still a bit skeptical about the delay news (especially if TheSameCoin was the only source), but seeing enough people saying similar things...so looking like it might be true (or at least debated). Pretty massive fail on Evolution/Sony, though certainly any delay that results in a better game is the right decision. But maybe there should be better planning/communication going on? Between this and Watch Dogs, I'm not sure what is going on at these studios. I wasn't going to buy it, but free DC via PS+ would have gotten me to play some of it.
i can't see any games that actually run 60FPS. if there is, i missed it. i only game i see that actually can run full 60FPS is baseball game. lol
Yeah, I wasn't surprised that Watch Dogs got delayed since it didn't seem like it was going to be as good as advertised. I was however surprised at the timing of the delay. This is incredibly close to launch, not to mention the issues with the preorder bundles. Hopefully this isn't true. (regarding Drive Club)
http://www.dualshockers.com/2013/10...s4-resolution-differences-discusses-findings/ Killzone is 60fps (it might dip slightly but these are for certain effect areas, it's dynamic according to Guerilla) for multiplayer. 30 fps for singleplayer. It's 1080p as well. Most of the games are 1080p, as for 60fps I can't say. I heard Drive Club was shooting for 60fps.
There was a thread awhile back saying BluRay was dead and HD-DVD won the generation. (In hindsight that is the lulz)
I posted this in the Xbox One / PS4 poll thread, but felt it was equally if not more so relevant here: I went to the Sony store in the Galleria and got to play for about half an hour. I really like the feel of the controller; I was skeptical (I didn't like the DS3 at all), but I really like the shape and the triggers are a huge improvement from where they were. The sticks felt decent, but I needed a shooter to test with. Unfortunately it seemed like the trackpad was disabled, the click was satisfying at least haha. I played Knack, Fifa, and a few indie games. Fifa was very pretty, I don't play soccer games so I was pretty awful and wouldn't be able to judge the gameplay. Knack was surprisingly fun, and adorable as far as games go. How it holds up (the controls were pretty simple) over the course of a game remains to be seen but I'll be keeping an eye on it. (I wasn't interested previously) I still want to try out the Xbox One controller before I make my final decision, but for now my pre-order for a PS4 stands.
cool! do you know when did they put up the PS4 in the sony store? did they use a big TV or just a regular monitor? i'm curious how it looks on a 4K TV
Wait, there's a new playstation coming out? But seriously, my 3rd party Amazon preorder just fell through (deep breaths). Anyone know of any places on the webz that aren't charging half of my rectum at this point?
Wal-Mart currently has PS4s for preorder. I don't know how long that will last. They require you to buy it in a bundle with 2 games I believe. If you have the extra up front I think this will be one of the last chances to get an order in before launch.
You're awesome! I've been checking with them all day every day and rolled my eyes when I saw your post. They were literally selling out bundles in the time it took me to check out. Ended up with the Killzone bundle. Not my first choice but I'm so psyched. Thanks!
Confirmation that DriveClub is being delayed: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/10/18/driveclub-update/
Yeah, sad days. After the rumors came out and there was no official response I knew it had to be true. That's okay though, I can wait on that one. I didn't realize that 2K14 for next gen is supposed to be an entirely new game. It's not a port or high res version of the current gen game apparently. I was more excited for Live previously since I knew it was next gen only, but after that trailer I think I'm absolutely picking up 2K.
