Here's another Destiny Alpha code. The Destiny First Look Alpha is not final. Players may experience bugs and incomplete features. Thanks for helping us pave the way to Beta, and Destiny's launch on September 9th, 2014. Code: GCJ8-A4NM-JBMF
Thinking long and hard about pre-ordering the white console with Destiny for a September 9th release date. Just not sure whether I should put off buying the console until I'll have more then 1 game (ie: until the end of October when there'll be 4 games)
I thought the multiplayer was generic after seeing a few vids, but after putting more time into it, I've started having a lot of fun. Still not sold on the game yet though. Also, does anyone know how many supers each class has? If its just a few each, I can see that get old a bit quickly.
I say go for the white console. They're limited edition, and besides, its not like the price of the ps4 is going to go down, and it's only a 1 month wait for more games that you are interested in. No point in waiting IMO.
Are you sure? Since the game (and bundle) are releasing on 9/9, that's essentially two months before Black Friday / the holiday season.
Even with black friday it will still cost the same like it did last black friday. Stores might do their own bundles but all the stuff in the bundle will cost the same as it did by itself unless they are adding a third party controller or something to the bundle
With the big eye thing at the end? Seems like it. And levels are capped at 8 but you can still earn upgrades even after that though. I can't wait for the full game where there will be multiple planets open to explore
Funny thing, the second time I beat the eye it was pretty easy since I was able to equip myself with some level 8 weapons. I was surgical with the sniper rifle. Might play some more tonight debating on how late I stay up after Game of Thrones and the playoffs are over. Since I believe this is the last day for the Alpha
I thought it would be over at 2PM. I might play some more tonight after GoT also if they haven't shut down the servers. The sniper rifle is so Halo it isn't funny (and that's a good thing), I really enjoy the hand cannons as well although not so much in the Crucible.
The Crucible PvP stuff was pretty fun. I enjoyed it a lot more then I usually do stuff like that. It reminded me of that PS3 era Killzone multiplayer
I think the problem with Crucible is that it's dependent on how much you play. The more you play, the better upgraded your weapon/armor is. This gives you an advantage over players who don't play the game as often. When I was level 6, I was near the bottom in points on my team. When I hit 8, wore level 8 gear and upgraded a little, I did much better. My rifle does 96 or 102 dmg a hit. A significant difference compared to my level 6 rifle at 50 ish dmg.
I do question the balance a bit, but most of the time when I wasn't trying out new gear I did fine regardless of my level (or if I wasn't playing the map for the first time). We'll see more when beta comes out, hopefully the level cap will be 20 or so.
Placebo. You thought upgrading your character helped you perform better, but in reality, it doesn't. During Pvp/Crucible, your armor stats mean nothing. Your gun attack rating doesn't mean a damn thing either (only thing that matters are rate of fire, mobility, etc) . So basically, each Rifle does same damage, each shotgun does same damage, etc. It's pretty stupid if you ask me.
