hmmmm ok, Ill bite. The PnR as often as in Dallas, and are penetrators Swift, T mac or Anderson penetrating and dishing.
I see a couple of tried and true plays I perfected in NBA Live 2005 with the current rosters of course: Yao zip a pass (because Yao was double team and Swift left him to double on Yao) inside to Swift, Swift jams it down hard. TMac & Yao pick n roll, TMac draws 2 defenders down the baseline, throw it up high for Yao that's running into the lane and throws it down. DA nails a Wide open Derek 3 pointer after Yao passed out to him. Last but not least, Josh Howard go up for a shot, got swap by Yao back to his face, then bounce off his ugly face and landed in Dirk's hand, Dirk think he got a clear shot, but then Swift comes out of nowhere and swap it out of the 3rd row.
It won't happen becaue Irk will dug and turn away before he would dare to challenge the Rockets for the dunk.
Some more simple plays: TMac comes off a Yao screen, go straight to the hole for a jam Yao blocks a shot, outlet it to TMac, who found a streaking Derek Anderson for a fastbreak jam. Swift fight off his man and slip a pass to Yao underneath for a jam Yao showing off his passing skill (shown in all star game in which he give a perfect pass to Francis in air for alley oop), TMac finishes it.
rashard lewis lighting up every team out there....especially rockets....im sorry but it still makes me mad how we promised to draft him and didnt draft him
Destroy the Lakers in every game we play them! I wanna see Yao get a technical for taunting Kobe, after Yao either: a. Blocks Kobe's dunk attempt b. Dunks on Kobe c. Preferrably both, with Yao being ejected with seconds left in a blowout Rocket victory.
Yeah, what I meant to say was... Hope to see the Rockets sweep the Mavs if they face each other in the playoffs. And... I kinda wanna see Steve Francis enter the Slam Dunk Contest this year, since its in Houston, and win it.
I want to see the ball hit the rim, then the backboard, then bounce off of someone's knee, then get poked up into the air by a loose ball chasing hand, then hit the bottom of the backboard, then hit the top of someone's head, then land on top of the backboard and sit for a second or two, then roll into the shot clock and be ruled out of bounds.
i want to see the Jeff Van Gundy I dont let the Rockets Run hut hut 76. It usually involves Gundy running like a madmen up the sideling screaming for the guys to push the ball up the floor. i've never seen a coach call a play so damn much.
Not really a play but I wanna see Swift get Amare back from that nasty facial in the playoffs. I also wanna see him teabag Dirk.
Play # 1 on JVG's playbook: Yao dribbles the ball up the court, crosses-over the opposing pg and sg on the parameter, bounces the ball off the sf's head, grabs and lifts the opposing pf up with one hand and dunk the ball over the c's head... Play # 2: TMac dribbles up the court to the parameter, swing the ball to Deke, who shoots a 3 without hesitation... Play # 3: Deke leads the fastbreak and shoots an open 3 (JB style)... Play # 4: TMac dunks the ball from the back court... Play # 5: JVG gets subbed in as the pg, and stuffs it in on a penetration...
What I really can't get over is we once had this dude whose name is Ralph Sampson. The guy wasted his height and talent and didn't produce anything for us.
X B X o O o o x X o x Okay the X on the right side of the 'B' or basket cuts around the baseline as a decoy. He curls around the x in the center for the ball and cuts to the basket, if the basket is open the x nearest this x passes the ball to that x for the easy layup or dunk. Assuming the NBA knows that you can't let a team have easy baskets, the O in the center with his back to the basket will block this move off freeing the X in the center. The x in the center spins baseline because he's been working on his Hakeem moves all summer and ends up being double teamed by the o on the left side of the 'B' freeing the x on the left baseline to cut to the basket for the easy alley-oop. Booyahkasha!
