Rooting for Shane Battier first, Carl Landry second. And, of course, rooting against the Lakers. I generally want Texas teams to do well. And the OKC roster is likable and all, but I hope Bennett never wins anything after stealing that franchise from Seattle. Wouldn't mind seeing Denver win -- their success post-Anthony has been a good story.

I voted OKC, but my favorite team throughout the playoffs will be the team playing the Lakers.

I voted for Portland because of their similar injury predicament like the Rockets. But I wouldn't mind to see OKC and Denver win.

I never like Memphis. But since Shane is there, I do hope he can go far in the playoffs for once in his career.

13 people have voted "LA". We should consider creating a support group to help rehab these people back into sports fans.

Dallas is like fresh meat right now, all of the lower seeds wants to face them. DAL is 26th in points in the paint and 28th in free throws. They're a jumpshooting team

Why would anyone other than Lakers fans want the Lakers to win is beyond me.

They are doing it on purpose so they don't have to face Portland in the 1st round.

i'm going for denver b/c their team is built very similarly to ours post-melo trade.

however, i also will cheer for kevin durant and westbrook. unfortunately, denver and OKC will play in the first round.

i think OKC will challenge the lakers the most in the west so i hope durant and westbrook will play at their best in this playoffs. they're the only team who can beat the lakers in a 7 game series in the west.

I betcha the Mavs lose 1 or 2 more games and give the #3 seed to the Thunder. They don't want the Lakers in the 2nd round.

i do see them doing that. the lakers have NO fear of beating the mavs even if the mavs sweep the reg season series from them.

but i do see the thunder's growth from watching them. they can win ugly or pretty. that's a sign of a great playoff team. they most likely won't beat the lakers this year, but they will be a huge contender for years to come.

thunder vs lakers is the series i want to watch the most in the west.

and judging from the past 2 games, the thunder will beat the nuggets in 5.

They don't want Denver in the 1st round either. The truth is, Dallas is shaky against any team right now. And any one of the bottom 4 teams can pull of an upset on any of the top teams.

The East only has 4 relevant teams. The West is 8 deep.

People say this most years in the West and it rarely turns out to be true. The WC first round should be exciting with two limitations:

    1. Lakers will not lose in the 1st round.

    2. Hornets will not win in the 1st round.

Any of the Nuggets, Blazers and Grizzlies have legit chances to beat the Spurs, Mavs and Thunder.

Kojirou, agreed but you do understand there is a HUGE anti-Spurs sentiment within Rockets fandom, right? Even so, I still cannot believe how so many Rockets fans want the Lakers to win. It doesn't compute for me at all. It must be because so many members here are young and aren't steeped in the Rockets history against the Lakers. I bet every single person that chose the Lakers is under 25 or 30.
