who cares man. if we do happen to sneak into the playoffs and get the #7 or #8 seed we'd face either Dallas or Phoenix in all likelyhood.

And lets see a show of hands of those who think we have a chance against either team.

Would be another 1st round exit.

Sure, and what are you putting up if I am risking $100?

20-4 is and 80% winning percentage. That's going 5-1 versus bad teams like philly. I know it sounds hard, and it is, but it's very possible, and we've actually been doing it.

You look at our pace this month, and we're actually on track to go 29-13.

You're forgetting that our 21-19 record reflects numerous facts, namely:

The toughest chedule in the NBA
    Injuries to our best player
Instilling of a completely new offense
Development of 2 major rookies who were non-factors at the start of the season

All of those negative factors have been severely mitigated or improved upon, and I said it at the beginning of this month, this team is set to launch.

I think 50 wins is doable. And if we do some damage against some elite teams in the next few weeks, all of a sudden our margin of error to acheive 50 wins improves greatly.

    give it a chance man!

The only way you risk $100 to the tip jar is if we WIN it ALL!

Like I said to begin $20 you say they don't make the playoffs, $20 says they do and then we go from there ...

What risk is there, if you think there is no way the Rockets make the playoffs?

I agree. We have to play better than the other teams at this point. It's great that we are playing better than teams like Portland, which has struggle with road games and dropped 3 of their last 5 games. They did get 2 wins against New Jersey(4 game slump) and Miami(13 game losing streak). Portland will have to go at least half their next 10 games to stay in contention.

If Portland goes 2-3 in their next 5 games, they will have 19 losses just like the Rockets.

Except that we will probably lose 2 or 3 more games in our next 5 too....

I think the Rockets have about a 1 in 3 chance of making the playoffs right now. So given that, why would I throw away money by betting and having no chance at a return?

So what do I get out of it?? Some testosterone driven bragging rights? Um, I don't think so.

I think we will go at least 2-0 B2B against the Sonics, we'll see from there.

Just what i figured you have no BALLS thanks for the confirmation that you aren't confident enough in your stance to actually put up or shut up! Congrats, gutless wonder. Make empty statements because if you're unwilling to back up your talk, then I for one will not take anything you say seriously

Your previous posts have brought this attitude on yourself. it's one thing to be critical in your analysis of the Rockets, it's another to just put a team under the bus and question their manhood!

No one has been more critical of the Rockets than myself but, I have been fair in my assessments.

You and BB, on the other hand continue to spew your virulent blather and bore us with your prophet of doom media whoring crap!

At least 2-0 in a B2B. Hard to do better than that! :)

Tell you what. If they don't make the playoffs, you put up $1000 to the tipjar.

$120 bet straight up. Then I have a chance for a return. That's what I'm complaining about.

I didn't know that those teams officially clinched playoff berths. Why play the rest of the season!

In a playoff setting I'd take my chances against them. I've seen far bigger upsets by teams who aren't as good as the Rockets and they beat teams far better then Phoenix and Dallas.

    $20 straight up that's fair!

My point is, it's never, ever over especially with the Rockets. We have some x factor elements with AB, Landry and Scola this year that we did not have last year. Are the odds against them? Hell YES they are! But all it takes is a little spark and a simply brush fire gathers incredible momentum and gets out of control! that's what I'm talking about. We have the talent, we have some skill the question that needs to be answered is can this team figure out how to close out games and impose their will to win consistently?
