Its all your damn fault! You have cursed the ROckets because of this dumb ass thread! Get the Hell out of here brooksballl!
Hopefully, Dikembe can do something close to what he did last season. No, he won't give us any offense but he can provide even better rebounding and shot-blocking than Yao. Other players will now have to take on bigger roles. Maybe the Rockets can pick up PJ Brown for the remainder of the season and have him start with Deke playing 10-15 mpg in a backup role. I know it sounds crazy to hear me of all people being optimistic after creating this totally cynical thread but I am crushed right now about losing Yao. I am praying for a miracle.
playing deke last year was akin to a one time miracle raising a zombie back to life to play 20 games.. the answer is small ball/ball movement. there's no way we plug deke in there and try to have him hold the middle
Don't worry guys and gals. Even without Yao, I'll go on the record and say we can make the playoffs and pass the first round. Trust me, I can see the future. .
Oh, my ... We are half game behind NO to grab the #3 seed in the West. I am speechless! I know the nay sayers will still say we MAY not make the playoff. We may. But this is something worthy of celebrating. What a run! Blew out healthy Denver without Yao in a game Denver has to win. Are you freaking kidding me!
This thread just looks funnier and funnier. Especially since the creator tried to also argue the merits of Golden State's run last year equally the Rockets not being able to keep up with them.
So you still feel like punching somebody in the face because we didn't quit on the team like you guys did.
Suns look vulnerable to not make the postseason. Mavericks look vulnerable to not make the postseason. Nuggets look vulnerable to not make the postseason. Rockets dont look that vulnerable. Granted, this thread was made before Phoenix got a dumb idea to trade Marion for Shaq, or Dallas traded Diop and Devin Harris for Jason Kidd.
I'm glad I didn't take that one. =) I feel I should own this. I was wrong about not making the playoffs. I'm glad I was wrong. I don't want to be right about this one ever. But still, I DID trust Adelman. =)
