I definitely did not see a 10-game win streak coming, whether or not I explicitly stated it. I already acknowledge that I didn't see the Rockets ever getting it together and playing this well. What I want to see is how the Rockets responed after they lose a couple of games or when they play a tougher series of games.
About the same time he posted this, I responded to the team's .500 ways by predicting a 41-41 record. Based on the way they were playing, that seemed reasonable. About the same time Clutch was talking about how he couldn't see them winning more than 47 games. That was a tough stretch for the hardcore fans. Do you remember how awful they looked? Anyway, some people are just more emotional and reactive than others, it's a temperament thing.

What if you found a "veteran" that posted a thread that fell into that category? What is your proposed solution for that? Let the admins run the site and stop trying to make decisions that are beyond your scope of authority.
they actually didn't look so awful which is why I predicted a 50 win season. I knew once T-mac got back and some of the guys got RA's offense this team would work out well - especially since it was clearly a better team than last year and we had a soft schedule coming up. And I'm a hard core fan that's usually the skeptic (I said before the Utah series last year that we had too many scrubs to be a contender and was blasted for it). Right now, I can say that not only will we make the playoffs barring incredible events (major injury to yao or the like), but that we will also be part of a photo-finish for home court advantage. We're only 3 games out and I don't see us being out of contention for the 4th best record in the WC.
i'd still give the guy a negative rating, however, its based on not "WHAT IFs" like most newbs like to pull up. its based "WHAT IS". i guess i maybe too critical of the newer fans because they have never seen a full nba season before, but there was a time where these type of threads were less frequent.

Well, the admins allow "newbs" like me to create posts. If you have a problem with it, talk to those that know of you.
