I'd like to see the Rockets be mathematically in, before I make my prediction of making it into the playoffs
Dude, that song and the Carpenter's Love Will Keep Us Together are the two single most horrible songs ever recorded...
The Rockets were only a couple of games out of the last playoff spot when I created this thread. What do you think I meant when I said "no way" or "no chance"? Put your thinking cap on and try to interpret my figurative use of words. It couldn't have been literal unless you think I am God.
I wasn't totally wrong, though. 27 games left. Many people are just doing the reverse of what I did in the OP. I will be ecstatic if in a few weeks I can say that I was wrong.
You are backtracking faster than Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk. Hi Hi Hi There's room on the bandwagon for you Brooksball.
Yes the West was tough and got tougher but I still see them making the playoffs. They won't be a top 4 seed but I still see them finishing in the top 8. But nothing is for certain and I can see a team winning 55 games and still not making the playoffs in the West. And that could very well be the Rockets. All I'm suggesting is to have a little faith...
See post #644 and the several others like it from weeks ago. Sorry to break it to you but all you are doing is trying to take an expression and twist it to be literal.
Don't explain or change your Position. We love you man. You are the Rockets good luck charm. 15-1 and going. Keep it up. In fact I think the Rockets should pass out a Brooksball Lucky charm bobblehead next game.
"Love Will Keep Us Together" was performed by the Captain and Tennille. Not that I'm defending the song. I just hate to see the Carpenters unfairly blamed for anything.
BrooksBall, simple question to you. Did you mean that all other 8 teams have a much much better chance to make the playoffs than the Rox in your OP? Now, do you still think the same? .
Thinking cap? You made an ABSOLUTE statement ...which leaves nothing for interpretation. Regardless of the outcome, you were dead WRONG. There is A WAY. GO ROCKETS! (from a true fan) btw, you are dismissing this road streak as being "soft" competition. But at the time you made your thread, you didn't give the Rockets any leeway for having played the most difficult schedule in the league. You can't have it both ways. We all knew Februrary was going to be an EASY month and as such, I knew we'd be able to make a run ...thereby getting back into the playoff picture. You on the otherhand, seem to dismiss that little detail.
Damn! Right you are. I keep getting this song and Close To You confused which also was high on my banned list.
No, no, no. Brooksball is a realist. He's looking at things with his head and not his heart. Nothing wrong with that in my book...
This will be the thread of year for sure. The more you post, the more they win. Let's witness the longest winning streak in Rockets history. Please keep posting. I love you.
Old Man Rock, take the muzzle off, I can't hear you. Honestly, one thing I did learn is how to use the Ignore List. It helps me avoid people that fill every other post with wild insults. I wish I knew about it sooner and used it instead of stooping to their level. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me, or even strongly disagreeing for that matter, as long as they can engage in reasonable debate. I didn't join this forum to take part in childish name-calling.
Yes, I really did feel that way in the OP. The truth is I did not expect the Rockets to do this well even with the easy schedule to start out the new year. I would have expected them to still be on the outside looking in at this point. I am pretty close to admitting I was wrong... but not quite yet.
wait Brooksball, you have some good posts, but right now you're not remembering what your wrote....such as They have cracked the top 8, and you have thrown in the towel right? And you are saying the Rockets won't make the playoffs right? You still stand by all 3 of these statements? Sure, we might not make the playoffs - and that's true for anyone in this conference. An injury to Nash or Kobe would probably knock them out of the playoffs. Just as an injury to t-mac would to us perhaps. I just think you made a big stand about how we aren't going to make the playoffs when we were only a few games out of the picture with over half a season left - and now you are getting called out. People just want to see ya humble yourself a bit and eat some crow. Do that and you'll find things a lot easier and all. Come on, join the bandwagon and have some fun!
