Good point. I did learn about that fact. I didn't expect this many people to act this way.

And if you are trying to fight the 99% of people on this board right now, you are up for a mental stress. Do what I did, admit you were wrong and was stupid to say what you said, keep quite for a while, and hope people will forget when the Rockets are in the playoff.

    You are welcome.

I appreciate the advice but I didn't do anything wrong and I don't think it was stupid to offer my opinion. I also don't see the need to be quiet because of anything I said in this thread.

I did learn what it feels like to be Fran Blinebury though. :)

Unfortunately, most people here want a forum full of Jonathan Feigens. ;)

How come you compare yourself with Fran? Fran is the biggest Yao fan lol. But you are as stubborn as JVG.

No, you did nothing wrong. I too had doubts about this team a month ago. I bet a lot of people here did too. We just didnt put ourselves on record to reflect our short term sentiments about the Rockets like you did. Dont be feeling down or too serious about it, it's not healthy. 99% of people posting here periodically have Rocket obssesion, including myself, so this is group of people not healthy to begin with.

By the way, for what it's worth, I am loving the Rockets' play as of late. I really do hope that my playoff prediction was wildly inaccurate.

Unfortunately, I still have doubts about how we stack up against the other teams in the deepest Western Conference in NBA history.

Don't worry one bit. I'm not down at all about it. More like proud to not be a total cheerleader.

Of course I am a Rockets fan. I don't get paid to come here. Why else would I keep coming back after getting slaughtered for stating my opinon?

well i believe so. However, the way you wrote sometimes misleads, and gives people impression that you'd like to see the team fail. And that's the key reason ppl diss ya :D

lol i kinda hope the guy turns out to be right! hey, it's not over yet and he might still be right. then 99% of people on this board would look so stupid for bashing him. :D actually to proclaim we're locked in the playoff now would be exactly the same as to say we wouldn't make the playoff like he did. it's not over untill it's over.

Nobody is saying we are locked in the playoff. We are just having a little fun here.

Oh come on, Brooksball, you basically bailed on the team. "No chance to make the playoffs." is what you said.

You weren't wrong to voice your opinion, but your opinion was wrong. They have a pretty damn good shot at making the playoffs, and I'm sure you'll agree with me on that one.

You sound like an elitist, and that's why people get pissed off at you. You imply that you're a better fan than others, which is funny because I don't recall bailing on your team in the middle of the season as being a characteristic of a good fan.

C'mon, you were mocking me and others when we said we'd win 50-52 games. Don't get defensive - all you have to do is admit you were wrong and eat some crow like a good sport.

Be happy that the Rockets are doing well and you are wrong. You deserve to be jibed for your horrible prediction and depressing thread. Just take it in good humor and stop being a douche bag.

It's not worth much. It's easy to bandwagon. How hard is it to say you are "loving" a team that's won 11 in a row and a huge 20 point blowout vs the top team? Doesn't take much intestinal fortitude. But grats for what it's worth

Look you started a dramatic thread declaring Houston 'had no chance' at the playoffs, totally bailing on your team and lashing out wildly for whatever odd reason. And you got proven totally wrong. Even on Jan 19, only the stupidest, most bandwagon fans, the ones who scream for tmac to be traded after 1 bad game or call Yao soft after 1 bad game, and who cream "WE WILL WIN IT ALL" after 1 good game thought for a minute that this team had "no" chance. Most guys here who actually played basketball on some level or KNOW basketball knew this team with Yao and Tmac was going to be in the picture come playoffs. Are you STILL talking about "no chance"? You're wrong. Period.

Look dude the internet is anonymous. No one knows you, and no one cares. You could be a loser IRL and ergo are super sensitive but no one here is conducting a popularity contest. You made a very noisy silly post which pissed ppl off and now you're making very noisy sily posts QQing about how you're being treated. Just stop. When you say something stupid against the home team you'll take your lumps, that's life. Just take your lumps and move on.

    Your pediction is already WRONG.

You said 'NO WAY'; we are well past 'NO WAY' now.

And you didn't just state an opinion, you rubbed it in other people's faces as if already true.

And beyond that, your opinion indicates a fan who quit on their team.

But keep on grasping at straws. It's fascinating to watch. And while others who believed in this team and 'teamwork' enjoy every win, you can keep quietly hoping for a loss ...

Exactly. That's the POV that got everyone bent out of shape. AGAIN, you never bothered to give both sides of the story. You only gerrymandered it to validate your position and your arguments were weak at bestl

I'm happy to see you're happy with the Rockets resurgence but, while you can take the blame for your position, I can take the credit because, I staked my reputation and went out on the line and well ... man, it feels good to be RIGHT! :D

Some advice, learn to argue your points with facts and logic and stay away from absolutes at least in the sports forum because, the only thing that is absolute is at the end of the game there's a winner and a loser. That's the breaks, dude!

Final memo, NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR TEAM!

Don't you feel like a dumb ass now guy for quitting on the team? What a true Rockets fan you are.... Fake Rockets fan, you can still hop on the bandwagon if you want to.
