Then read what I said about the Jazz. Go back and read what people were saying about the Lakers. Then read what I said about the Lakers. Yes, they picked up Gasol but they haven't had Bynum who was playing as good or better than Gasol. Gasol is not the only reason for their success. Go back and read what people were saying about the Hornets. Then read what I said. Yes, we beat them tonight but they still have the best record in the West after 50+ games. It isn't luck that got the Hornets in this position. Go back and read what I wrote about the Blazers when they were in the midst of their winning streak as well as what I wrote in the OP. Where are the Blazers now? Several people were doubting the Spurs. That was just crazy. Having said that, I hope I get the chance to eat my words. I hope I was wrong about the Rockets. The win tonight was impressive. The bottomline is that there is a long way to go before the season ends. I said the Rockets wouldn't FINISH in the top 8. If they do, all I will say is that I was wrong.

The Kings and Blazers are threats to make the playoffs as are the Rockets. The key is that there are a lot of games left in the season and despite the huge win tonight we have had an EXTREMELY SOFT schedule during the win streak. The Rockets were only a few games out of the last spot when I created this thread. They are only a few losses from being right back in that position and the schedule only gets tougher from here on out.

The only reason I stopped posting was because I realized people couldn't handle my opinion without resorting to childish namecalling instead of reasonable debate. The truth is I just stated my opinion and learned a lot about the nature of this forum in the process.
Kings and Blazers are done. Quit it. There are only 4,5 games sperating the top teams and 8th seed right now. Any team is in danger falling out of the race. A statement like that shows you try to cover yourself more than you are a Rocket fan. I understand where you came from a month ago. But you bluntly said you would go on record saying Rockets would not make the playoff with half the season left. That was just comical to say the least. I made the same mistake two seasons ago when Yao went down in December, out indefinitely. I b****ed that the season was over. How foolish that was. With half the season left, you could not honest make a prediction like that, especially under a new coach. I am glad that you didnt bet any money on it.

This is a forum though. With thousands of users. 99% of them anonymous/a stranger to me and you. You can't expect every single one to be polite and courteous. . .when you say the Rockets aren't going to make the playoffs in a Rockets FAN forum, you should expect reactions like this. And now , after a 10 game winning streak, with an impressive win over NO Hornets, you're still defending your losing position. That's why ppl are ridiculing you.
