Paul George and Tyler Hansbrough have been the 2 most impressive Pacers, no doubt. Hansbrough's aggressive nature was unmatched out of the gate, and I'm completely sold on George. He has all of the tools necessary to be an All-NBA defender, and his wingspan allows him to rip down boards with ease. I've never understood ClutchFans' widespread infatuation with Granger. He fizzles in and out of the game, half-heartedly plays defense (I saw one sequence where he was lazily tailing Deng around screens, ousted for position on the low block, and then failed to block out resulting in a Chicago offensive rbd). He has terrible shot selection... tossing up fadeaway mid-range jumpers early in the shot clock and selfishly taking the ball to the rack during a 1-on-3 break. I just don't like his game, and I consider him a slight downgrade to Kevin Martin, though fans on this board act like he's the answer to this team's issues.
If I were Hibbert I would punch Price in the face. Wide open with nobody between him and the basket and Price did THAT. To be honest, I'm surprised Price even made it to the NBA with his athleticism and skills.
About time Rose gets called for a travel. He travels pretty much every time he does that spinning lay up thing, but it doesn't get called
Jim O'Brien was kryptonite to the Pacers this season. George and Hansbrough have proven that beyond the shadow of a doubt.
Chris Webber adds a lot more substance than what Kenny and Charles say. And like I said, he is an analyst, not a commentator. He isn't trained for this job, nor does he have the voice that makes you listen. He does however, know a lot about basketball. Have you not watched his comments on Miami Heat or the Lakers? He makes insightful comments. He is one of the smartest basketball players ever, so I think he knows a thing or two about basketball.
He's easily one of the worst back-up point guards in the league -- below average court vision, poor decision-making skills, weak defensively. Back-up PG will be a priority for Indy this summer, as I don't think Price will be in the mix much longer. Bird & Morway will likely scoop up someone in the Draft.
Granger has always been one of those "called underrated so much that he's grossly overrated guys." Good but not very versatile scorer who is underwhelming in many aspects of the game for a star.
It seems like the good teams get all the breaks. The Pacers have obviously not been the same since Collison went down.
bulls are like the poor man's cavs of the last 2 years. derrick rose isn't as good as lebron, but the defense and rebounding are better.
