    Dear God,

Best record team lost to worst record team two times in a row.

    East is sad

    2-2 Piston/76'ers
    2-2 Celtics/Hawks

So I see the Celtics are mimicking Rockets (missing FTs, blowing easy layups, poor defense down the stretch, etc).

I still don't think the Hawks are winning this series, but it has to be such a blow to the Celtics who looked to be invincible coming into the playoffs.

In NBA, super athleticism alone will win you some games. Look at Atlanta, players like Smith, Johnson, Childress & Williams are all excellent athletes!

I've read enough of your posts to know you clearly see the difference.

Mike Bibby is setting PnR screens that force Rondo onto Johnson. Bibby is a helluva lot stronger than Alston. Or Brooks.

When the Celts stop Johnson on the perimeter, Johnson reverses the ball to the weakside for athletes that can drive and finish. The Celtics D has to honor that posssibility. The Rockets have standstill players like Battier and Head parked at the arc.

When you distill it all down, the Hawks have multiple players beyond Johnson who can create. The Rockets have....frankly....none.

Along with Sixers, this proves that young teams can pull off upsets.

This proves that the top teams in the East are overrated.

Joe Johnson is great. Even though he was doubled all game he still found a way to score.

Coming from somebody that has seen nearly every Hawks game for the last four years or so all I have to say is: the Hawks have a homecourt advantage?! No joke, i'm simply astonished by this.

This is going to be a completely different series now. In games one and two the Hawks looked scared and beaten. They were mentally unprepared and convinced they couldn’t win. Now, things have changed. Now, the Hawks realize how outmatched Boston is compared to them athletically. They have momentum and that Rocky-esque “He’s cut…He’s cut!!!” mentality now.

Dear God, I hope the Hawks pull this one off. I despise the Celtics and in the event this improbable event happens, rest assured my "KEVIN GARNETT = MOST OVERRATED ATHLETE EVER" thread will be started.

if the celtics lose this series..(which still seems unlikely because i dont i dont think atlanta will win the next game..and they certainly wont win a game 7 on the road), i will be estatic. i looooooooooove upsets. nothing better than watching a lil 8th seed team taking over a best record in the nba team.

The Hawks and Sixers may be the most athletic teams in the NBA.

Hawks: Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Josh Childress, Marvin Williams, Al Horford
Sixers: Andre Iguodala, Rodney Carney, Thaddeus Young, Willie Green, Louis Williams, Samuel Dalembert

Two guys up there, Josh Smith and Iguodala are probably the two most athletic players in the whole league.

The Rockets seriously need more athletic players. We have Carl Landry, a hobbled Tmac, and thats pretty much it. We need someone like how Robert Horry was during the championship years, someone super athletic who'll do most of anything on the court, block shots, steal, shoot threes. Shawn Marion anyone? He's a free agent this offseason.

Many people suggested the best 16 teams should be in playoffs, regardless of EC or WC teams. But, so far, the hawks and the 76ers showed they do deserve those playoff spots!

btw, joe johnson was drafted by the Celtics. Moron Chris Wallace chose to keep another draft pick scrub (i forget his name already, no longer plays in NBA) and traded JJ to the Suns as a filler in a trade. What a joke!

as much as I enjoy his writing and opinions, how hilarious would be for Bill Simmons if the Hawks pull this upset off........

interesting to see if the boston home court can get them up....

also whats up with Rondo shooting more shots than Pierce and Allen.... nice plan Hawks

Well, I'm not sure about that. If Golden State and Portland got in instead and faced Boston and Detroit, imo they could've also beaten them two times.
