The Track’s Predictions EAST Boston vs. Hawks The Celtics are going to be way too much for the young Hawks to handle. Their leadership, star power, and smothering defense will hunt and destroy the Hawks. Celtics in a sweep! Cavs vs. Wizards The most intriguing 1st round match up in the East. All the trash talking by Arenas will make this an even more entertaining series. The Wizards three headed monster will finally get the most of the Cleveland LeBrons. Washington in 6 Pistons vs. 76er’s Can you say boring? The veteran Pistons vs. the athletic inexperienced 76ers’s will be a short series. Philly has played much better ball then all of us thought we would see. The Pistons are the same old Pistons and because of this they will smash Philly. Pistons in 5 Magic vs. Raptors This was the toughest to predict in the East. I love the monster they call Howard, and I love that they have HCA, but I just think their inexperience and lack of depth will cost them. Bosh, Ford and the crew will pull this series out. Raptors in 6 Eastern Semifinals Boston vs. Washington Boston is way too much for everyone in the East. Washington does not have a big to stop Garnett. Boston will slow down the Wizards in every facet of the game. This is not going to be fun to watch. Unless you live in Red Sox Nation. Celtic Sweep Pistons vs. Raptors I think the Raptors have a good shot at this one. They gave a good supporting cast, and they have the best big man in the series. It will be tough for them, because they do not have home court advantage, but I think they pull the upset. I think Bosh, Ford, Moon, Calderon will play well and I think Bargnani will be the wild card here. Upset city! Raptors in 6!! Yes I said it Eastern Conference Finals Celtics vs. Raptors What a great series this will be. One for the ages……….sweep Celtics in 4 The Wild West Lakers vs. Nuggets Kobe is the MVP. The Nuggets play no D. (that rhymed) Iverson and Melo will have to learn how to stop someone to have a chance in this one. I think it will be a fun series to watch, and I would bet that someone from one of these teams will have a 50 point game. In the end though, you can’t give Phil and Kobe this much help around them. Lakers in 7 Jazz vs. Rockets The Jazz have it all. Their only weakness seems to be winning on the road. WE have HCA!! I think their better is better then our better. With Rafer missing the 1st two, AB is going to have to play out of his skin, same with BJ. I love that no one is giving us any love and is saying we are going to get killed. They also said we wouldn’t make the playoffs. This team has heart and TMAC wants this more then anyone. I’m reaching here but this year has been different and unique since the New Year. Rockets in 7 Suns vs. Spurs How great is this! The Spurs win the 3rd seed and have to play the best threesome in basketball. Either one of these teams can win it all. The defending champs have HCA. The Suns have the best power forward in basketball. I think Amare is the wild card here. If he plays the way he has lately, the Suns will win. I think he will. Suns in 6 Mavs vs. Hornets Yes they have Paul who is the best point guard I have ever seen. Yes they have the 2nd best record in the Wild West. You know what? WHO CARES? The Mavs have the experience and the coaching and leadership. Everyone thinks this will be a good series and that the Hornets will pull it out. I don’t. Dirk, Kidd and Avery will find a way to make someone other then Paul beat them. Mavs in 6 Western Semi Finals Lakers vs. Rockets Yes I am a homer. Battier knows his role on #24. TMAC is going to be ready. I repeat TMAC is going to be ready. This year is special. With out Yao, we scrap and claw and shock the world again. Clutch City! Rockets in 6 Suns vs. Mavs The 6th vs. the 7th! What a conference. It’s is going to be a good one. I think the trade for Kidd is going to hurt them in this one. Shaq and Amare are going to punish them in the paint. Suns in 7 Western Conference Finals Rockets vs. Suns We have HCA!!! Although I don’t think it will matter. Again, Shaq and Amare will be too much and our dream season will come to and end. Suns in 6 THE FINALS CELTICS VS SUNS What a great one it will be! So many stars on the court! Everyone is picking the Celtics, but I am going with the most dominating 1 2 punch in the game. Amare will be the MVP of the finals. Suns will be NBA champs in 6 games!
