My sentiments precisely. Thanks.

1st Round:
Lakers vs Nuggets: Lakers in 5
Hornets vs Dallas: Hornets in 6
Spurs vs Suns: Suns in 7
Jazz vs Rockets: Jazz in 5
------
2nd Round:
Lakers vs Jazz: Lakers in 7
Hornets vs Suns: Suns in 6
------
Western Conference Finals:
Lakers vs Suns: Suns in 7

Finals:
Suns vs Celtics: Suns in 7

Finals MVP: Amare Stoudamire

And even if this comes to pass, DaDakota will still try to convince us that instead of the Greyhound Theory, the Rockets need to follow the Spurs model. Whatever the hell it is...draft Tim Duncan I suppose. :p

I'm not sensitive at all. As I said at the beginning I'm just trying to have some fun.

Lakers - do you even have to ask?
Spurs - prepare to witness the decline of Steve Nash
Mavericks - gelled at the right time
Rockets - role players will step up

You are insane if you think the Thuggets can beat the LAKESHOW in a seventh game series. Have you seen the home cooking we get at Staples? Best in the league by far!

lakers in 6 - very glad to see this matchup as i wanted these 2 fast-paced teams to face off instead of being slowed down by the mavs and hornets (who can just slow each other down now). i think the lakers will get lazy on D in a few games so 6 games instead of 5, but the type of D the nuggets play (half decent but not focused like the rockets) is the kind the lakers movement, spacing, and shooting can chew up and spit out.

spurs in 6 - oh man was i glad the spurs beat utah to set up this matchup. i hate both teams so the thought of one going home in round 1 is fantastic. either the spurs don't repeat and don't do so spectacularly, or shaq doesn't get to claim he helped give the suns the edge (and nash loses) in spectacular fashion. i actually think the suns have the edge but i just can't see the spurs losing in round 1. just doesn't seem like it will happen.

hornets in 6 - mavs are clicking better but i think the hornets will care more than the last game of the season. paul is great and west, chandler, and peja are a perfect trio for him to throw it to (pnr's with west for easy west jumper, pnr with chandler for dunk or west jumper or peja 3 if help comes over, just a perfect set up). certainly no surprise if mavs win but i'll pick the hornets.

jazz in 5 - i'll be nice and say 5 but i could really see a sweep. unless the jazz just roll over in a game like they did to the spurs in the season finale, i'd be surprised if we win even one with them playing hard. so given the odds the jazz get lazy after taking game 1 or us possibly just outplaying them in a game, i'll say jazz in 5, as much as it'll suck.

after that, lakers in 6, spurs in 7, spurs in 6, celtics in 5 in hugely boring defensive struggle finals (someone please keep the spurs out of the finals).

Lakers vs Nuggets: Lakers in 6.
This series will be tough for the Lakers....just cause nobody really expects anything fron the Nugs, they have little pressure on them.

Hornets vs Dallas: Hornets in 7
Tough series.....don't think Dallas improved with Kidd.

Spurs vs Suns: Spurs in 6.
They just know how to win.

Jazz vs Rockets: Jazz in 4.
I'm a glass half empty kinda guy, without Yao we just don't stand a chance. Plus it's a team led by T-Mac, what can you expect?...a first round exit. :p

Oh Jesus...this is exactly why I wanted to avoid the Lakers. I know that 20% of the crowd at the Pepsi Center for games 3 and 4 are going to be "Lakers fans". When they talk smack, I always ask them if they know who George Mikan is. On the small chance they do, I ask if they know who Jim Pollard is. In the one time out of a million they do, I buy them a beer.

I couldn't care less if I was wrong though, because these playoffs are going to be great regardless.

1) Lakers
8) Nuggets

2) Hornets
7) Mavericks

3) Spurs
6) Suns

4) Jazz
5) Rockets

Nuggets are 0-3 against Lakers this year. Terrible away team.

Mavs will miss Devin Harris in a Paul first round matchup. However, Peja is notorious for choking in playoffs and Howard has him. That said, Chandler could give Nitwitz problems. an X-factor for the Mavs is their version of Landry, Brandon Bass. He could make a huge name for himself this playoffs. X-factor for Hornets is Chris Anderson...or is it 420-factor. I can't remember.

Suns were royally robbed last year. If the Spurs bloody Nash multiple times again this year, get Amare kicked out of the 6th game in a closing seconsd "fight" where Nash is merely trying to dribble out the clock with 5 seconds left, I might consider not watching anymore NBA.

GO ROCKETS!!!!!!

Lakers in 5 over Denver
Rockets in 7 over Utah -- I am more optimistic because the role players on this years Rockets are more effective players, good finishers, and more physical, attributes that the national media doesn't seem to want to pay attention to.
