    Reasonable point, ABie.

My 'anxiety' relates to the Conventional Wisdom that the very best (and perhaps only good) 1st rounder anywhere is Jazz v ROX. Taking that as gospel and that it might go '8' full games and that Avery's Relentless Mavs may likely have an easy walk into the Rox 2nd rounder leaves me upset, anxious, concerned (reminds me of Rox v Sonics '97 then Jazz).

I'll feel better when Rox defeat Jazz and if Nellie's Fellers push Mavs to at least as many games as Rox have to play...

My expectations are low: I do think we should beat the inevitable Jazz 1st round match-up, but what happens next will determine how good I feel about our team.

It's going to come down to how well T-Mac and Yao finally hit their groove together . I thought they were showing sings of a Magic/Kareem chemistry (to hell with Shaq/Kobe) two years ago and injuries have just left me with doubt that we can really compete without a frikkin' Worthy.

I expect our role player to struggle against the Mavs/Suns/Spurs so success just seems to rest upon how great 1/11 are and how they can get this team to click when things get really tough.

It's still about the future and it's frustrating. But I still want as much hope as I can swallow now.

I only get stressed when I see police, I fear that I'll get pulled over and they will check my trunk and find the dead magicians piled up in there.

However, despite my stress, I will still take that as an opportunity to say, "TA DA!!!" when I open the trunk.

i agree with the original poster.. i'm getting very anxious, and we still have 15 games left. i'm trying to picture what kind of plays will be good against the jazz, what won't, and i try to catch all the jazz clips i can on nba.com (i don't know why).

when i think for too long about what it'll be like in the playoffs i feel a little sick with the butterflies in my stomach. i can picture screaming at TC with tmac dribbling down the court down by 1 and turning the corner around a yao pick. he'll raise up against okur and bucket, we win, a la dallas two years ago.

True. Rox need a worthy Worthy-esque third banana. He was supposed to be Bonzi.

NOW that they are playing so good I am because NOW I think they can win the whole thing. So yeah, the expectations, as they rise, the anxiety and anticipation go right along with it.

I don't know about butterflies, but I was getting awfully excited at the game I was at last week about the playoffs. Dropped my 2 grand for tickets throughout, and can't wait for the buzzing, ready-to-explode atmosphere just before tipoff of our first game at home.

What do people recommend to help to go to sleep? Just a bunch of Nyquil? That's what I've been doing, but maybe I should get a prescription.

I've got most of my energy and stress in March Madness right now, pulling for my Gators. Nearly vomited this past Sunday, thankyouverymuch. The Rockets are my side dish for the time being. But I agree it's time to start ramping up toward peak performance though. And when the NCAA tourney finishes I'm guessing it's right about time for the NBA playoffs to start. Then I can devote panic mode to all things Rockets. The next few weeks are pretty exciting overall.

The only things that give me stress is worrying about...

-Our super stars are too brittle :(
-Our coach is too stubborn :(
-Our depth barely 60% of our roster. :(

It was probably good for them prof. Knock them out of their funk a bit.

    :)

As for Rockets stress, I have a little bit of excitement brewing, but not anxiety. The closer it gets, the better we play, and the more exciting this team becomes, the more likely we will have a long playoff stretch.

For me, typically, March means the end of basketball. UK is finished, spring has arrived and softball leagues start. This year I have a whole other exciting season to look forward to.

Like Tracy said "It starts here."

Man can you be any more positive?

So you are saying we are like most teams in the NBA?
