Know this, that the spurs believed from the first quarter on that they would win it at the end. The refs were slowing the game down just like they hoped they would. When Bonner put them up by two, they thought that this was ball game. Then I see shane moving into position. Whamo. The best laid plans crumble. Honestly the spurs could get swept. This WAS their game to put doubt into the grizzlies, and they couldn't get it done.
What? Don't get carried away. If Manu comes back and his elbow isn't giving him a whole lot of problems they will probably win the series.
people need to calm down the grizz shot 55% and outplayed the spurs and barely won. if manu is back next game, the spurs will take this series.
The spurs are outmanned. The only thing they had on their side was experience. They don't have that anymore. The grizzlies believe, the spurs are doubting themselves.
It's not merely knocking the Lakers off. I want Duncan to have #5. So he can prove once and for all that he has been the greatest player of his generation, and not Kobe. That would be the best way to take down LA. Besides, Durant has plenty more years to grab a ring. And what, keep chatting. Spurs will have Manu back, which means San Antonio will have real wing production. Spurs will win.
Spurs are still favored to win the series even without homecourt BUT winning a playoff game on the road is nothing to sneeze at and especially being such a young team. Manu will return but how healthy will he be and remember Memphis won both games in Memphis vs the Spurs. And the 55% was alot of inside work not so many jumpers so it can be duplicated.
I think next season, Courtney Lee needs to throw a dumbbell at Terrence Williams. If that's what it takes to get to the playoffs, I'm down.
I don't think the Spurs are doubting themselves because they barely lost with no Manu who will be back. They are only outmanned because Manu isn't playing.
