now you see this play and you really can't blame westbrook for doing what he did.

durant can't get away from his man, and others are afraid to touch teh ball.

tell him to get a 1-on-1 game and stop playing off the ball. that allows his man to deny him the ball.

they tried to give durant the ball on that last play and he couldnt do anything

both westbrook and KD are choking right now. westbrook is out of control, and durant is letting allen deny him the ball. jesus. step it up.

If Memphis made their layups and free throws they would have this game locked up.

He needs to fight to get position in the high post like Carmelo

In less than two seasons, Westbrook is going to find his ass traded.

I've seen this script before. OKC has lost all continuity and won't get it back. Unless OKC goes completely out-of-character, Memphis will close the game on a run and win almost comfortably.

This. The fact that Durant doesn't have a superior 1 on 1 game and below average handles seem to be the elephant in the room when people talk about him.

he's too weak for that. this is what i harp on durant all throughout last year. i thought he would develop a legit 1-on-1 game this year to elevate his game. unfortunately, it still is not there.

what he needs to do right now is say, let me handle the ball and control all of the offense. I'LL CREATE THE PLAYS for me or for others. that should be his mindset.

but he lacks the 1-on-1 and playmaking game to be able to do that for long stretches. he still dominates primarily off the ball plays.

him lacking the 1-on-1 game puts more responsibilities on westbrook, and westbrook has control of the offense right now

I thought this game was over; I was about to watch something else until the MIA/BOS game came on.

does KD even want the ball? he's not even fighting for position. when ibaka had the ball, he didn't even run up to him and demand the ball.

and people will blame westbrook after this game b/c he took the shots since nobody else wanted to shoot.

Durant not even looking for the ball! Westbrook about to get the blame but Durant isn't aggressive at all.

I think he's much more likely to be able to hold his position in the high post for small stretches than to develop handles to get past decent wing defenders.
