I didn't see the game, haven't really followed the playoffs closely this year, I was just asking based on the OP's lineups. But from the sound of it, I need to start watching this series.

Tony Allen guarded Durant for most of the game. Battier and the bench has been key to them winning though.

The bright side of OKC getting bounced in 4 would be a for Brooks to be fired. Talk about someone riding coattails.

OKC can't play Zebo 1 on 1, gotta send double team early.
They also gotta drive hard to draw fouls on Gasol and Zebo.
In the end, I think Griz might just be too big for OKC.

Shane Battier has transformed this team.

    Leadership and intangibles on display.

A tour de force of playing the right way.

OKC does have enough size. They just need to figure out that they can't guard Randolph 1 on 1.

Yes, here we go again with the "coach riding coattails"- we can just say that for every coach with star players.

The only team that I as a grizzlies fan worries about is the team that comes out of the east. Miami, Boston and the Bulls are going to be tough to win against.

I think in the west, I just don't see any team that can beat us.

The two up-echelon teams the Griz can beat in the West are the Spurs and Thunders. I thought the Spur could have beaten the Griz in 7, though. Either Dallas or the Lakers would be too much for the Griz. Still a nice run.

i called the Grizz to win in 6.

Thunder only have Durant and westbrook to give them points

Grizzlies scores by committee. Outstanding play from Vasquez, Young, Battier, etc....

Grizzlies are just too deep and talented and too HUNGRY for the thnder

I think the Grizz can take it but my only reservation is that the Thunder will always have a free-throw advantage, even if they're playing in Memphis. Before the pointless fouls in the last minute of the game, Thunders had twice the amount of free throws. And they were shooting a bunch of jumpshots as well. They will can do everything they can to get Randolph and Gasol into foul trouble from here on, it will be their primary goal.

I feel like the Grizzlies as a whole are a lot more discplined in terms of not fouling and making them finish. That's what killed the Nuggets imo. They fouled too much and didn't make them score.

Westbrook and Durant can fall down every play and get a foul call, but that won't make them beat the Grizz.

finally watched the game and this is exactly what I saw. Grizzlies don't foul as much as the nuggets, thus keeping Westbrook and Durant off the line. Westbrook's shooting has been terrible and he's been getting most of his points from the stripe. Memphis's defense is just incredible, both in the paint and on the perimeter. Go Memphis!

Imagine if they had Thabeet though.

This series would be a sweep!

Yeah, all we need is for Rick to be coaching the Thunder.
