Dude, the mavs choked! Plain and simple. 43-18 run in the last 15 minutes. That is as big of a choke as you can get.

Even though I'm a Rockets fan, I'm proud of Brandon Roy. To see him making a great comeback with all his injury problems gave me great pleasure. Seeing Dallas lose was even better.:)

I understand your point, but you don't give up that big of a lead without choking. If Portland had outscored Dallas 45-25 because they bombed in 10 long-balls, maybe not. But Dallas only scored 15 points. Dirk only took 3 shots the entire quarter. A classic definition of a choke job is when a team completely forgets what to do on offense and doesn't score. It amazes me a veteran team like Dallas would collectively lose their mind and actually let this one slip away.

    Right.

Its not like they havent choked against the Heat while throwing away a championship....

or against the Warriors in the first round.

Oh yeah, they are veterans at choking.

Still can't believe what I saw. Like A_3PO said, POR missed their first 15 shots...and their first didn't come until there was less than 2 minutes left in the 3rd. Plus, in the weird world of momentum, I think the shot where the ball sat on the rim and had a sandwich before falling in set the whole thing into motion big time.

This maybe overly dramatic, but after this game I think its reasonable that Carlisle get his agent to touch up that resume.

I would, too. That was a hand grenade he threw up there. I was laughing my tail off at that brick.

IMO, Carlisle isn't the problem. He is a top-notch coach, but he's culpable for not keeping his team grounded when they choked tonight. I wish Cuban would be dumb enough to fire him.

how can you have players like jason kidd and jason terry and still maintain that "choking" mentality? it's amazing.

amazing day of NBA basketball again after a disappointing night last night.

The Mavs are like Sacramento with C-Webb....Times up!!!...If you couldnt be Wade and the refs...what makes you think you can beat the Lakers and the refs.....Time to blow it up...They need to stop signing these "has-been/never was superstars"...They are the Washington Redskins of the NBA

I heard he's pretty stubborn. Not sure if he can get along with our FO.

What a heartwarming moment for Roy and the Blazers.

Now for all of you knee-jerkers that are saying(or about to) that we should snatch Roy. Remember it's not a matter of, with enough heart and effort he can keep on playing, hell no. He's gonna be gone in a few seasons; it will be inevitable. Please stop.

Looks like I missed a hell of a game. Blazer fans have gone crazy here in Portland.

Mavs wouldn't lose this game if your friend Juwan Howard played for Mavs.
