Didn't cost them anything...hell it kinda helped. Zaza got thrown out, but magic don't capitalize. SVG being outcoached.
If magic lose first round they will blame the coach .. coach leaves than comes to houston. While dwight howard either moves aswell than magic goes to rebuilding again
I thought the pick-and-rolls with Nelson and Howard was one of Orlando's go-to plays. Saw none of it tonight. If you're going to give the ball to Turkoglu and ask him to make plays, at least set some good picks for him. Very constipated offense. Adelman could do wonders for that team. Disagree. The Magic definitely could've used Richardson down the stretch. Now, if he gets suspended, he's out for the crucial Game 4. Maybe SVG is to blame, but sometimes it's just too tough to find chemistry after completely revamping a roster at the trade deadline.
People blaming Stan Van for everything are stupid. You really need to watch more basketball. Orlando has no talent outside of Dwight. Were you watching the shots Jameer was taking? But, Stan Van has no choice since he has either Jameer or Arenas. Defensively, the Magic being elite is amazing. Atlanta is just sinking tough jump shots. Orlando is missing easy jump shots.
i still think orlando will win this series. we haven't seen orlando's B game yet. it will go 7 games though.
I just watched part of the SVG press conference. He needs to dial down the public criticism of his players. As a fan, it's great to hear such candor, but I think it might be detrimental to his team. I still think Orlando will win the series, mainly because of my disrespect for the Hawks.
Hawks were 3-1 this season against Orlando and are winning this series. Rashard Lewis was overpaid but he made a big difference for Orlando against Atlanta.
every time I watch the hawks I think what a great fit Adelman would be. they make everything look so difficult on offense.
Anybody watching this game, lol? Howard with three fouls heading into the half, and the three ball is not falling at all for Orlando (0-7). SVG better have a good talk in that locker room.
While I enjoy watching the Magic struggle, I really think Dwight Howard gets screwed by the defensive foul calls. Offensively, I think he gets called properly more often than not, especially since he uses his elbows way too much for positioning. Defensively though, he suffers from the same crap Yao got. He jumps straight up for the block, and the offensive players is driving and jumping forward like 5 feet. Their bodies meet and it should be a no call, but the refs are terrible at this call. Similarly, refs are horrible at charge calls too. The offensive player can already be in the air and all the defensive player has to do is slide in place, fall down, and the offensive guy is screwed. The NBA really sucks in the sense that their refs reward actors and the appearance of fouls more than effort and actual fouls.
The Hawks are so stupid and undisciplined. They should be up 20 points at the half. The Magic are still in striking distance even though they barely show a pulse. Very poor decision by Howard to contest Crawford on the last play.
I think Adelman would be perfect for them. Defensively, they have what it takes to be a good defensive team. They have the offensive players/talent to be great but the offense they are running isn't maximizing their talent that's for sure.
It's like everyone on the Magic (besides Dwight) thinks they can get back the lead on one thrilling ill-advised shot. This is terrible basketball..
