They went to him in the 4th and he blew the last shot -- you fail at defending Le'bron.

    jon barry is right.

i've been saying this all year. that 1-flat-4 at the end of games with either wade or lebron does not work.

defenses just collapse in the paint and closeout for a highly contested shot.

spo should have wade operate without the ball or set screens. have some type of all movement instead of everybody ball watching

HE FAILS WHEN IT COUNTS THE MOST.

JUST WAIT TILL BOSTON... HE MIGHT EVEN CRY THIS YEAR.

Right on D-Fake's eye. Holliday hit the shot before that on Wade's eye too, lol so much for Wade being a good defender, can't even get a stop when he's up 4

he won't make that if he takes it again. that was a tough tough shot.

now wade should be blamed for not contesting holiday's 3pt shot in the previous possession

Wade has been a proven closer so why the heck Spo never call out plays for him?

Please, don't give me this "well, Wade missed a shot just previousy" t-mac_1. If you're clutch, it doesn't matter if you go 1-9 or if you're not efficient. A closer has the right to take the shot last regardless. Clutch as nothing to do with shot attempts or lack there of. Wade looks pissed at the end of the game, this is his team no matter what people say.

well lebron has had a history of great clutch play before this year too.

wade this year has done WORSE than lebron in the clutch regardless of what statistic you use.

their problem is they're trying to iso everytime either lebron or wade get the ball at the end and teams can easily collapse on them. what they need to do is get more movement so they can space the floor more.

it's very perplexing seeing both lebron and wade struggling with their shots in the last 10 seconds of a game.

i think they do fine before then in general.

Honestly, why do teams prefer to sweep other teams? Why not let them win 1-2 games if you KNOW you can win the series? Aren't players paid on a per-game basis? If so, some of these players earn around 150-200k+ per game, don't they? Doesn't make sense to sweep teams (if my understanding of how players are paid is at all correct).

really players get paid on a per game basis in the playoff? thought they had incentives for wins during the regular season? maybe I am wrong.

but sweeping a team allows for much needed rest after a long regular season, especially for the older guys or injured players. Also allows for more practices and preparation of the next opponent.

Yep, the more games you play the more chances you get exposed.

When you drop a couple of games, other teams get to see your main weakness, and they will take advantage of that accordingly.

that only applies if you're not playing the miami heat. against the heat, it's just "sweet, that shot's definitely going in." i've said it and posted it all season long and now i get to say it again, but i've never seen anything like this miami heat team. with a chance to tie, win or put the game away (i.e. up 1 taking a 3), their opponents simply do not miss. and it's almost always a long jumper.

it started almost from game one and has been the one most consistent thing about the entire heat season, whether they were going 9-8, going on a 21-1 run, losing 5 in a row, or finishing the season 15-3 or up 3-0 in a playoff series. it just essentially never happens. all that stood between the heat and a sweep was 50 seconds with a 4 point lead and 2 pull-up 3's by a sixers team that wasn't hitting its 3's. the 2nd 3 even being about 3 feet behind the line with a hand right in williams' face with 8 seconds to go. either one misses and the heat get a sweep and some needed rest. the result? 2 perfect swishes. against any of the other 28 teams in the league, williams clangs that off the rim and philly loses. but not against miami, just isn't going to happen.

and of course the heat aren't going to make a response shot with under 10 seconds left. if elton brand has to turn the clock back 10 years on his vertical so he can get a fingertip on lebron's shot, that's what is going to happen. and of course, because he's lebron, a 31/7/6 game where he dominates the 4th quarter is reduced to a missed game-tying shot because it's always about what he doesn't do, never about what he does do. kind of the opposite of kobe in late game situations, where kobe usually misses 5 shots in a row then finally makes one and is hailed as the king of clutch.

When they went to him in the 4th they were winning, and suddenly blew their lead when they stopped going to him. And then he blew the last shot. So try again.

Well maybe he will pull his team through in the next big game by going 6-24, or by throwing up bricks that his teammates can rebound for game winning tips!

LOL THIS IS THE NEW LEBRON EXCUSE!!!!!

    I LOVE IT!

As, Skip Bayless said, and most of you hate him. Lebron was scared to go to the rim hard, that's why he pulled up. He was scared, because he didn't want to shoot 2 free throws to tie the game.

Did the thought ever occur to you that he didn't want to go hard to the rim because refs don't call fouls on the last play of the game like that? They are known to swallow the whistle in that situation.
