I missed the calls on Okafor. Were they bad ones? I hear they tried to put Kobe on CP3 and it didn't work.
Kobe on CP3 would be an absolutely disastrous idea. CP3 will run circles around Kobe, and Kobe will exhaust all his energy on defense trying to chase CP3 around. Shannon Brown is their best chance at stopping CP3.
yep. first foul on Okafor came with a minute into the game. and the Kobe idea on Paul is fail. Kobe picked up a quick foul about 3 or 4 minutes into the game and Paul went by him like he wasn't even there.
Lakers were the only team that didn't have 15+ FT advantage as a higher seed team in game 1. In fact, they tied at FT shot. And guess which team needs 20+ FT to barely win game 1? Talk about predictable.
That was some beautiful triangle offense in that quarter, Hornets needs to front the post or at least deny the 1 pass entry.
Awesome to see CP3 and Kobe go at it. Refs letting them play Weird seeing all these former Rockets Artest swatting Landry, and then Ariza out there. Sorry David Andersen haha. Ha, Lakers in the Hornets huddle.
Well, hopefully that'll give the Hornets some momentum. I agree, Mr. Space City, the 2nd half needs to be the Chris Paul show.
they're trapping on the pick and roll every time with the big man forcing him to pass. but he does really need to find a way to score. and why can't the lakers do this every game? pound the ball into the paint and they'll win basically all the damn time. kobe just needs to score when the game is close.
He's not just trying, he's doing it. Only LeQuitter talking about guarding Rondo all day but never walked the walk.
Yeah, but then Kobe might not get the credit. Actually, the strategy for the Hornets coming into this game was pretty obvious; they should have doubled the interior and baited Kobe into taking shots by sticking Bellinelli on him. You just knew Kobe was going to come out in "unselfish" mode and not take any shots no matter what. In the 3rd, expect him to come out in "hero" mode and do just the opposite.
