here's a 'what if' scenario: Suppose the first three games of the playoffs are like the first three games of the season and we get blown out by >20 points three games in a row. Would you still want to be in the playoffs because "playoffs are fun" and "it's exciting and anything can happen"? All for the sake of the excitement of Game 4?
Agree, but sometimes teams just need a major purging from top to bottom and if they don't make the playoffs everyone in the rockets organization will be made accountable. Things like this just have to happen this way.
we don't care about chemistry here. http://nba.nbcsports.com/2014/08/27/mark-cuban-mavericks-care-about-chemistry-not-like-those-rockets/
I like how that article suggests Parsons signed in Dallas because he felt more wanted there and that it was because the chemistry was better. He signed in Dallas because they offered him close to the max and he wasn't getting a better deal anywhere else. And that's fine, but the article makes out he is in Dallas because they get something that Houston intrinsically doesn't, the elusive 'chemistry'. In reality all Dallas had that we didn't was three years, $46 million.
If we make the Playoffs it'll be 4 extra games for the Rockets to implode on national TV. It will happen at some point when we are down 30 to GSW in the 4th quarter. Dwight will yell at Harden for something and the two will actually fight on the court. It would be a black mark on the entire Rockets franchise. You think free agents will want to come to this team after seeing this team implode like that? It's better for everyone if this team's problems behind the scenes are hidden.
Also to me... All chemistry is in Dallas is an excellent coach and cohesive system. They end up getting the most out of nearly every player they have. No matter the fit.
Sometimes speculation is not good, but at this point after all the evidence I think its fairly obvious. Harden and Howard are at odds with each over the abysmal season. Which is natural tbh, you have two competitive guys that were fighting for control of the team throughout the season and now when everything is in the gutter you can't expect things to stay peachy.
