Dude T-Man, are you seriously going to sit here and say the warriors aren't an elite defensive juggernaut? You're embarrassing yourself man. Watch a warriors game sometime. You'll learn something.

Also as much as I want to see the Grizz best the warriors in this series, the Grizzlies are NOT embarrassing them.

Harden, is suppose to be an MVP candidate and a leader on this team..

Jordan, Kobe, Bird and Magic led by getting in your face...

Hakeem, Kareem, Dr. J, Duncan and Moses led by their actions on the court...

So how is Harden leading?? Harden is not much better than he was last year, especially on the defensive end.... Champions step up one way or another..

He's creating an insane amount of shots for his teammates. His assist numbers are fantastic. He's hitting a high percentage of shots.

His teammates are just missing lots of open shots or gimmes in the paint. It sucks. I'm not sure what else he can do offensively.

Even McHale says they're getting shots they want. Guys need to be able to hit their shots

I have been watching them... You are looking at stats on ESPN and NBA coming up with your theory...

Old school scouting and eye test still works...

Also for your information, stop embarrassing yourself by going out to those sites looking at freaking stats and then trying to post on this board like you're Hubie Brown.

Anyone who watched the warriors this year and don't see them as an insane defensive team is just stupid. Sorry. They have great length and a deep bench that is very flexible. They can defend against bigs, they can defend small.

I hate the warriors but their identity is that they're a great defense.

I refuse to believe you've watched them

T_Man, just chalk up the time you've wasted as community service. This guy is a troll, and worse, he's an arrogant troll that pretends to be smart when making idiotic assertions.

To a711 (I don't know you but you seem to be infatuated by me) there is a reason T_Man is the only one replying to you...it's because he's the only one patient enough to help you with your training wheels while you display misguided condescension and stupidity in every post. This board has its own method of natural selection for people that can't act civil, especially when the people they are talking to are making a real effort to pursue an intelligent conversation. It's the ban hammer, and I'm pretty sure you'll encounter it if you keep acting the way you are.

No. They do have great defense, but their identity is based on their dynamic and sharp shooting offense---led by one of the best shooters in the NBA, and maybe NBA history. "The Splash Brothers"--remember that cute little term the media and the warriors always throw around? If that doesn't tell you what their identity is...well...I wish you the best. Memphis on the other hand? Their identity is the grind it out tough nosed defense they've been playing for years. Memphis is a better defensive team than the Warriors, but I'm sorry you are too blinded by stats to realize that.

The Warriors were a top defense last year too. You know what they weren't so hot at last year? Offense.

Defense has been their identity during this run they've had over the past few seasons.

We just said don't look at numbers, then you throw numbers at us. Lol. If tonight is the Harden we have seen for the playoffs, I will be grilling him in a defensive analysis thread. Stay tuned.

I don't think you can comment on our "prime", rookie. You are on your way to getting banned.

The Grizzlies. I fixed it. Thank you for pointing it out.
It's a "match-up problem" because Reddick and Barnes can stop Harden for some reason. That is absurd.
It has been discussed in the NBA Dish how Jordan often misses rotations, and Griffin/Big Baby are nothing to be scared of. CP3 is a great perimeter defender and Barnes is decent. Watching other inferior offensive teams slice up their D makes it infuriating seeing the Rockets struggle. But really, the problem with the Rockets is our defense. I honestly don't know why we are talking so much offense.

    We should both stop responding.

People, based on the fact that the Grizzles have had playoff success from the defense only, consider them to have the best defense in the league despite the Warriors having a higher ranking this year. That is what a reputation will do to you, and it is a reputation deserved.

That's enough responding to you. Continue your thread.

You can't just say Harden is a drop off from regular season and not expect people to ask you to have some kind of proof. It makes no sense to say to ignore stats as they reflect OBJECTIVELY what has happened. Like, they tell the story as it is. If you want to say that Harden should step up and be taking 10 more shots a game and should stop passing so much - then SAY THAT.
