aahhh, had we not lost the game against the lakers, we'd be 1 game out of the 8th seed... still wondering what happened that night.

The Toyota Center should put a games behind counter in the stadium as a reminder to the fans and the players.

how is it 1? wouldnt it be 2?

arent we 3 games behind right now (19.5) and lakes at 16.5. so if we had won it would be us: 19 and lakers 17.

or i am completely wrong..so feel free to correct me. ;)

    They would be 27-29
    and we would be 26-30

1 game difference...got to add one to your win and take one from your loss, same thing for the Lakers.

It would have been 1 had we won the Lakers. The difference for head-to-head match is 2 games. Had we won that game, Lakers would have been 27-29, and we would have been 26-30, so that's one game back.

3 big games outside of Rocks game today.

    Utah-GSW, hopefully GSW.

    Portland-Queens, hopefully Blazers, very unlikely.

    Wizards-Memphis, hopefully Wiz.

If Rocks win while Utah and Queens lose. Then Rocks are only a game behind Jazz and ahead of Queens in seeding.

Well --10-3 in the month of February. A win tonight would have been nice ... but we're still on track.

The next two weeks we have the Sixers, Nuggets, Blazers & Pacers at home and one game at Minnesota. We HAVE TO win at least 4 of those games as well as at least 2 of 3 at the end of the month versus the Cavs, Sonic & Wiz.

The middle two weeks are BRUTAL having to play both San Antonio & Dallas twice, as well as a tough games versus the Nets, Hornets and Clippers.

But, if we can take care of business before and after that two week period, we should be in a position to take a playoff spot IMO.

Exactly, if we can keep up this kind of pace I think we'll have a real shot.

At this point, I'm willing to concede that the Suns are a horrible match up for us esp. when McGrady is playing the way he is.

Good news is we don't play them anymore.

Totally agree, the Rockets have been doing well to win the games they should and they can't let up now.

The rest of this week is very winnable. Still only 3.5 out of that 8th spot.

The Hornets collapse began tonight. They lost to the Sonics. They should fall to .500 by the end of this month.

Fakers are blowing out the Magic. We are now 4 games behind the 8th spot with 25 games left including 5 games against Dallas and San Antonio. We'll need to go 17-8 or better in our remaining games to have a reasonable shot at the last spot.

The Lakers are gonna start their plummet in two days! Look at their schedule:

    Fri 3 at Golden State
    Sat 4 Detroit
    Mon 6 San Antonio
    Wed 8 at NO/Oklahoma City
    Fri 10 at San Antonio
    Sun 12 Seattle
    Tue 14 at Sacramento

They're gonna lose at least 5 of those games.

I really can not help to think Rockets is done this season, why?
Look at our guaids, they can not hit 3s consistently from season start till now. If JVG could not solve this problem( I still do not see any hope soon) and Tmac not come back to fight. we are literally done.

I really wounder why players play a while for JVG their all hesitatly to shot, look at suns, no one hesitant to shoot and worry about the TO but they get good result.

They could have a 4 losing streak there in the middle, we have to win our games and take advantage

It doesn't really matter. We have the toughest remaining schedule the rest of the season.
