The two prime candidates for dropping out of the top 8 are New Orleans and Denver. NO is easy to see - tough schedule and not playing great right now. Denver is quite possible also if you look at their remaining schedule (tough + more away games) and note it has a 26-7 home vs 11-20 away record.

I'm hoping for Phoenix (draft pick to Rockets) and Rockets to squeeze through together.

Ya, hopefully their battle with LA for the 2nd seed comes down to the last game.

Only 4.5 games separate the #5 from the #11 in the west.

    Looks like a dogfight.

    Go Rockets!

It will be best for Rockets to just keeping winning.. not worry about what other's are doing... I saw that Mem-noh will play couple games together and so on.. those teams will have a lot of games against each other... meaning someone has to lose... and you never who gets injured and not play for weeks.. so best we can do is to do our job.. and leave the rest to destiny.

We just need to take care of pheonix and win the games we should win as well as most of the tossups and hopefully win a game or two we shouldn't win. Honestly, I think our team can beat anyone with the way were playing. We just have to play well.

Due to the extraordinary way in which the Rockets are playing I've become a firm believer in playoff success this year even against the top teams in the west. This team seems to be playing with such a big chip on their shoulders that I wish we make the playoffs just to see them go against some of the elite teams that we no longer have to play as often down the stretch of the regular season.

A few weeks ago I was all about hope and despair, now Im counting the minutes and even seconds before the next rockets game for the possibility of yet another W (very much like all the Kevin Love fans out there waiting for his next game to watch him break Malone's record).

    Playoff Push!!

HOUSTON ROCKETS(33/32) rest of the season:

    @ Suns
    Vs. Spurs
    Vs. Suns
    Vs. Bobcats
    Vs. Boston
    Vs. Jazz
    Vs. Warriors
    @ Heat
    @ Nets
    @ 76's
    Vs. Spurs
    Vs. Hawks
    Vs. Kings
    @ Hornets
    Vs. Clippers
    Vs. Dallas
    @ Timberwolves

How many wins do we need? How many wins look Realistic?

I see 9 maybe 10 wins, everything else will be a bonus. Don't know if that will be enough though, Because of Course we need teams to lose.

    OTHER TEAMS:
    Jazz(33/31)= Tanking
Suns(32/29)= if we can beat them, have a tough Schedule left( maybe 8 wins)
    Grizzles(36/29)= kinda tough schedule(Maybe 8 wins)
Trail Blazers(36/27)= 7-8 wins(maybe more, depends on Aldridge)
Hornets(37/29)= maybe 8 wins(maybe less, depending on cp3 and Ariza)

say if you guys think more or less for these teams.

I think 13-4 is what it will take. 10 of those are very winnable. We'd need a few upsets.

We obviously need to win both Suns games due to the tie-breaker scenario. We are 0-1 against them this year. Rockets win 117-111 today.

Seeing the way were playing, I can see us losing maybe only five of the games we have left. Let's go!!!!
