Ha, thinking about making a thread on this.

They're arguing over whether or not it's ok for PGs(Rose and Westbrook in-particular) to shoot 30+ times. They're saying people are bashing Westbrook for when he did it or does it but no one says anything about Rose.

    If I understand them right:

Chuck: Under no circumstances should they be taking 30+ shots.

Webber: It is ok, even if he's going 11-31 because we dont know about "easy" buckets or missed layups, buckets he might make, etc.

Kenny: Agrees with both of them in one way or another. Yes it is ok for Rose to shoot 32 times, only if he's hot though(ie 20-32). It's not ok to shoot 32 times and go 11-32. Originally said Rose has no one else so it's ok to shoot 30+ times. Westbrook has Durant so he shouldnt be shooting 30+ times.

What do you's say? Who do you agree with?

thibs does not run a pick and roll with the pf often. a lot of times he sends the pick with noah and moves the ball among the perimeter with the perimeter players (pg, s, and sf).

rose would run the pick and roll a lot more if he had jerry sloan as a coach because he perfected the 2 man game.

what do i say? i say, go watch chris paul in the first round. he freakin' got trevor ariza going. or how dwill ALWAYS got boozer easy buckets. that's what i say.

but paul is a true PG (and the best one at that) and dwill is the 2nd best pure PG. westbrook and rose look to get theirs first.

Bulls just don't look with Rose shooting so much, nearly the whole playoffs. If they were winning convincingly, then I wouldn't mind because their team defense is so good but it's not working anymore. Teams know their gameplan and are adjusting. It's up to Thibs and the Bulls to adapt and run the offense in a different way.

I also see that Derrick Rose's PER is 26.25 (according to Hollinger) with a true shooting percentage of 51.8% and an effective FG percentage of 44%. From his Basketball Reference page, his PER is 26.1.

According to Hollinger, Derrick Rose's usage rating is 34.5. Forgive me for not being statistically gifted, but what's accounting for the difference?

Atlanta can win this one right here. They've been the better team since the end of the first quarter.

i love how the hawks don't know rose is going to drive in this 4th quarter. their big men either just plain don't help on picks or come up like rose is a dead-eye jump shooter and just let him drive by. i know he's hard to stop, but come on, pretend like it's your 5th game in a row playing against him.

Earlier in the 4th quarter, I thought the Hawks had a good chance to take this one. Maybe Steve Kerr is right they are getting tired, but when they stopped moving the ball around, the Hawks offense crashed and the Bulls got confident again. Without Jeff Teague, the Bulls would be up 20.

It will take a Bulls collapse to lose now.

Josh Smith really, really should be banned from shooting 3's..... just because he's been hitting more 3's than ever doesn't automatically qualify him to Jimmer it up....
