i played 8th grade through 12th grade......i got hurt my senior year(tore the tendons in my ankle). I coached 2 years Jr. high ball. But none of this means anything here and niw...does it?
coached? what did you get fired for?...certainly not your sparkling personality... seriously though, I think you're full of it... I played soccer at a small college and the fact I haven't coached at any level doesn't mean I am not qualified to...but rather that I got a real job. two players who are completely mediocre are still hanging around as assistants simply because they're idiots and thats all they had on the table. so forgive me for not being impressed by your resume or intent to hold your nose over people without your extensive experience.
All kidding aside, I am glad now that JVG is gone that people in the organization or close to it feel free to post again. DD
Started at a young age, and then I didn't play organized ball again until much later. I played intramurals in college, and I also played on my (last) company's team. My game is similar to Steve Novak: 3PT specialist, zero defense, don't belong on an NBA roster. Regarding my ability to discuss basketball roster moves and offense/defense sets, it's all good, because I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
agreed, but i think from your posts you are very limited in your knowledge...you can make fun of my education all you want...it just doesnt make you credible or smart about the game. actually i am shocked how much you post with you lack of knowledge of the game.
you guys are funny...you have the right to criticize all but cannot take criticism yourself...you guys are just dang hypocrits....dont know why you criticize people who coach as not being able to do anything else...i didnt get fired im still coaching college basketball...and the beauty of the internet is that you can be stupid about a subject and never be called on it
May I assume this is directed at me? You accuse people of posting without knowledge of the game, yet all you have done is pound your chest and say... "I AM AN INSIDER" "CD SUCKS" etc...etc..etc...... And then you go on and attack others who are passionate about the Rockets and probably have been longer than you have been alive. We are not dissecting X's and O's here, we are talking about our favorite basketball team, and just because you don't agree with something does not make you right. I hazard a guess that you think JVG was undermined by CD, while I think CD did the best he could under limited circumstances, and that JVG failed to polish some diamonds in the rough - which is how you have to succeed in today's NBA with 2 max players...IMO. We are just not going to agree, it doesn't make either one of us right (no matter how close you claim to be to the organization), the bottom line is it is just our own personal opinion. We are calling you on it constantly ! (I kid, I kid) Giving you the benefit of the doubt here: Personally, I am glad you are still coaching etc, I figured after reading all your anti-CD posts that you had gotten ousted by CD with JVG or had lost a promotion etc because of it, and losing a job, ANY JOB, is a difficult thing especially if you are doing a good job individually and get thrown out because your bosses are not getting along. But I think even you would agree that there are good coaches and bad ones, and just because someone is in the field does not mean there are not others who are just as capable but have chosen a different career path. Just because a person was Ollie MacFarlane on their college basketball team does not make them have more knowledge than anyone else. Good luck in whatever you do. DD
Ok Mr "insider", do you have any scoups about what is going on inside of the organization or are you going to just keep spouting off about what a d!ck CD is? Cmon just a tiny morsel. Anything will do! You have gloated on more than one occasion (and under more than one screen name) that you are an "insider". After you get tired of sucking yourself off how about backing it up with something credible? Pretty please!!!!!
ok yao sprained his ankle in a workout this week against stanley roberts and ran today on the track at rice with falsone...is that enough for you pussum
Denniscd is likely a former Rocket player who was fired by CD. As for playing or coaching experience, I play lots, still play every week (not NBA), and do lots of coaching during the playing (not NBA), never get a NBA titile, so does JVG, what is the point for this thread.
just wondering what your experiences are...your experiences shape your vision of the game...trying to figure out if we have novices, smart fans, or professionals on this board...thats all. with the responses, and with the posts, i have a better feel for the type of people posting and that helps me control my anger...you cant get mad at people that just dont know!
Maybe you're just on the wrong board, dennisCD -- you should check out ClutchBlowhardsWhoAreCertainTheyKnowMoreThanEveryoneElse.net. There won't be many of you there, but you'll certainly all get along splendidly. Having done something doesn't necessarily make you know more about it than other people -- but apparently it can make you THINK you do.
denniscd, you are rapidly climbing the charts as the most admired poster here. We are all so glad you are here to enlighten us... By the way, since your expertise appears to be basketball, you should not post in any other forums until you can present your bonafides on other topics.
