Players the rockets passed up/traded making good contribution with their teams

You're not criticizing the players, you're criticizing the organization. You can't look at every draft pick, trade or player in a bubble. Yes, it would have been better to have drafted Rashard Lewis over Mirsad Turckan. But it's hard to fault the Rockets too much, since every team in the NBA passed on Rashard at least once. And if you're going to criticize the Rockets for a draft mistake like that, you have to give them credit for getting Cuttino Mobley in that draft with a mid second-round pick. Every team passed on him too, but Rudy had the foresight to pick this guy, and now he's established himself as the seventh or eighth best guy in that draft (1998). If you want to look at draft or personnel mistakes, you have to also look at the successes, and the Rockets have had more successes than failures.

 

Supporting players don't mean jack. We need a leader that doesn't take the night off.
