Eureka! Rocks exchange #1 (Ming) for #2 (Williams) + Chandler.

Rocks trade Francis + Mobley + Rice for Warriors' Richardson + Jamison + Murphy.

    Trade K.T. + #15 for #12 to get: Stoudemire/Hillario/Nachbar/N.T./Welsch.

    Rockets lineup:

    C -- Chandler / Cato / (#12?)
    PF - Griffin / Murphy / Mo-T
    SF - Jamison / T-Mo (#12?)
    SG - Richardson / Torres (#12?)
    PG - Williams / Norris

    IR - Walt / Collier / Second-Rounder or TBrown

    No. No. It's this way:

Rockets draft Ming #1 but coerce Chicago into giving us Fizer and Eddie Robinson for Rice and Drew obligation.

Trade #2: Fizer + K.T. + second rounder is sent to Golden State for #3 (Dunleavy).

    Rockets roster looks like this:

    C -- Ming / Cato / Collier (Ming as the All-Star center?)
    PF - Griffin / Mo-T / #15?
    SF - Dunleavy / T-Mo / Robinson (MD as the future All-Star?)
    SG - Mobley / Torres / #15?
    PG - Francis / Norris / #15?

This looks more likely and would not get everybody crazy as would a Francis/Mobley for ???? trade.

I'm sure Nostradamus has the answer in a quatrain somewhere!:D

Sir Det: I am not necessarily a proponent of these trades. I'm just trying to figure them out within the matrix laid out by the draftmasters.

IMO, Krause would not take on Rice's contract for the difference in abilities between Jay Will and Ming or Butler. If he truly gets "stuck" with Ming he could at least field some of the offers we're hearing about.

Am I alone in thinking the Knicks would offer Allen Houston + #7 for Ming + Fizer (or Crawford). Surely the Bulls and Knicks are good trade partners as they have opposite strengths.

    5) Chandler
    4) Curry
    3) Rose / ERob
    2) Houston / Hassell
    1) Crawford

#7 possibilites = Caron Butler / Nickoloz Tskitishvili / Qyntel Woods / Jared Jeffries / "Nene" Hilario / Marcus Haislip

    5) Ming
    4) Camby / Fizer
    3) Sprewell / Anderson
    2) Eisley / Spree / Anderson
    1) Ward / Jackson / (Crawford)

Gater, I'm confused. What do the Rockets get out of this because -- and don't take this the wrong way -- but who cares what the Bulls and Knicks end up with?

Chicago doesn't have Ron Mercer anymore. He went to Indiana in the trade for Rose. Their starting 5 looks like this:

    Curry
    Chandler/Fizer
    Rose
    Hassell
    Best/Crawford

Apologies for the confusion. I was responding to a suggestion that if Krause really wants Jay Williams, we should to try swap picks with him (as the Bulls have cap room) if he will take Rice.

If you think about it, there is no incentive for Krause to take Rice and that is what I was trying to convey.

    ROCKET!!!

Could the second trade be for Karl Malone? He has an almost hillbilly accent. (Karl Malone=Carl's Jr.=French Fries) :D

Krause won't trade Chandler unless the deal was unbelievable. Chandler's gonna be really good.

ROCKET!!! seems to know something. It seems we're gonna draft Ming; but not to keep. The trades, however, must be equitable.

If we get Brand, Battier, and a decent backup center, then I'll be happy. Getting rid of worthless contracts would be nice, too.

    ROCKET!!!,

What's Golden State offering during all this discussion? I know they screwed us on the Marc Jackson issue, but surely they are making some offers for the #1 pick. Last I had heard was, they wanted either Ming or JW. Are we even returning their calls? :D

Yep. Best's a free agent. If Houston trades the pick and someone ends up with the one, they might sign him for backup because Crawford is just coming off of his injury and will need a few months to gel with the rest of the squad.....lord knows they need more then a "few" months....:D

I don't think anything would be in the works with Utah
Only Chicago, Clips, and Memphis from what ROCKET!!! has said

We better not be getting Karla...ROCKET!!! if that's true, the organization will lose ALOT of fans...of course I really doubt that its even a possibility, but I'm just saying

I got it! I got it! The Spurs and Rockets are going to merge to become the Rockspurs thus reducing the league to an even number of teams.

PG - Steve, Tony Parker and Antonio Daniels
SG - Mobley and their new foreign guy
SF - Griffin, Rice and Ferry
PF - Duncan, MoT and Stoudemire
    C -- Ming, Robinson, Cato

And plenty of guys to trade for future picks.:D

I am of the opinion, that the best power forward, Rocket is talking about it Kevin Garnett.

I do remember hearing that Garnett wanted to get traded. I also remember reading that Garnett had asked to talk to Rudy T. Plus, Rudy loves Garnett from the Olympics. McHale said that Garnett could be had in a deal that did not involve Steve Francis. Garnet would without a doubt be the BEST POWER FORWARD the Rockets have ever had. No wonder Rocket is so f^cken hyped. I'm hyped too. Garnett could be had, geez!!!!!

Man that would be so sweet.

Plus, Rocket did say that since teams think that Williams is the real deal, teams are willing to give up the farm (e.g. Garnett) to get Williams.

Taylor, the #1 pick, and Rice for Garnett.

Thomas, the 15 pick, EG, for Odom.

    Rockets:

Cato (well, he's tall and can dunk!!!)
    Garnett (An NBA MVP)
    Odom (an all star)
Mobley (will be destined to be a all star snuff)
    Francis (all-star)

What, has me thinking is that Rocket said that EG was probably going to keep being a Rocket! I'm stumped.

The only power forward that is head and shoulders above all other is Garnett!!! Case closed.

But the SF guy has got me stumped!!!

In order for the KG trade to work, we'd have to include Cato, which leaves us with no true center.

Why would the Bulls trade for the #1 pick and draft Yao Ming? It is known that they are desperately hoping we take him ourselves, rather than trade the pick to a team that will take their beloved Jay Williams.
