It’s becoming evident, by design or bad luck, we are not going to be competitive this year. But there are things we can do to shorten our rebuild/retool. All of us rockets fans are well aware of the tank. And another great tactic would be to pump the value of players on our current roster. We can do this by increasing minutes and putting them in position to get more scoring opportunities. With that in mind, what players should we try inflate in trade value? There is a few ways to approach this. Do we play young guys with team friendly contracts? House or Tate? Do we shove it all into vets that could help teams make a playoff run? Tucker or Gordon? Or do we get froggy and try to pump wall and oladipo? Sort of like a Chris paul scenario. Or do I dare say it? Christian wood pump up? A solid run this season could drive his value sky high. Who do you think we should try to pump value into?
How is this evident? I would say the contrary is evident. We did well under hard circumstances, things can only get better from now on.
Exactly. Rockets are a far cry from being horrible, it's just that they're lacking core pieces right now and havent had a consistent lineup so they seem worse than they are (starting center+backup pg).
one of the things I also liked was rockets were competitive in most of the games, imho there were only 3 blowouts, 2 lakers games and the denver game.. in all other losses game went down the stretch undecided edit whatever this is only the beggining of the season and its a small sample size
Pump up Wood and Oladipo for sure. Both can easily average 25-30 points here on out. Trick a team like Sacramento to thinking Wood is a franchise player and net us a couple first round picks + Haliburton + Bagley. Flip Oladipo and Tucker to Miami for Herro + Precious.
