i'd rather develop them in europe. i think the NBDL promotes selfishness as all the players are just looking out for themselves to get a spot in the NBA. teams in europe care about winning titles.
The new CBA allows teams to send players in their first 2 years down to the NBDL with a coach and let them get some playing time and experience there. Malick would do well to play in Austin... DD
Yep, Brand new one that plays at the convention center, starts playing in November. I think the Spurs, Rockets and Mavs are the 3 NBA teams that can send players down to it. DD
I may be wrong here but I believe that the Spurs and Mavericks NBDL team will be in Ft. Worth. The Columbus team is relocating to Austin. I recall hearing that the Mavericks will be sending their players to Ft. Worth along with SA but that makes no sense if there's one in Austin.
IIRC, and I don't have a link, two NBA teams will fill the roster of each NBDL team, thus 30 NBA = 15 NBDL. That matches your statement about Dallas and San Antonio filling Ft. Worth's roster. I don't know who is teaming with the Rox in Austin. This organization is based on the new CBA so it probably won't be spelled out clearly until June 22 when the agreement is published, or certified or whatever.
