I never knew that. If I still lived down in Clear Lake I would be getting the hell out before they call a mando...
i have tickets to coldplay and oasis as well. it's in the woodlands so they should be on even if this thing hits, but the coldplay concert is probably more in danger. by the time sunday night comes for the oasis concert rita will have passed according to projections. i'll be in college station on friday, hopefully it won't be too terrible trying to get out of here.
I'm going to Coldplay as well and I kinda hope the concert is cancelled so we get a refund. I'm not looking forward to watching a concert with lots or rain and high winds.
Sh*t, I have a gig Saturday night, at a club in the Heights near I-10. Guess I'd better dust off my canoe......
I live right next to Bush airport in Humble. Do you think that is far enough from the coast if it hits galveston? I have 15 animals, and I can't really leave them, so I will have to ride it out no matter what.
Billingsly on Ch2 just said its looking like it will become a Cat4 tomorrow and make landfall as a 4 late Friday. Said the official national hurricane predication has it right south of Matagorda Bay, with us being on the dirty side of things.
BTW, Pat O'Briens just opened back up. Their newest drink is called "The Katrina." Basically, it's Pat O'Briens original "Hurricane", but now, they throw it on you.
What are all you guys with satellite dishes going to do? I'd be willing to be the reception on those will be horrible when this blows through. Better get those batteries for the radios. Long live Time-Warner.
you think cable will be operating??? doubtful. i have cable...i wish it would. but no way. now i have a decision to make. cat 4?? i think i'm out.
