You're right when you say that he blocked the bill, but you're incorrect in equating Obama's views with those of this woman. You might be part of the 1% that knows he blocked the bill, but you didn't do your research.

    From this article:
    http://thinkprogress.org/election/2012/08/27/747511/gingrich-huckabee-obama-abortion/?mobile=nc

Just because he blocked the bill, doesn't mean he's denying assistance to infants that are born.

It's funny how when people with different views than yours make a claim, you immediately reject that claim on lack of a source/data/proof/link. Yet when someone says something that fits your views, you take it at face value and go, "Wow! Really?! I knew it!" without asking for any kind of backup.

You're a liar. I asked "is that right?"

You're the one who just took something that fit YOUR view and tried to project it onto me.

    Look in the mirror.

Planned Parenthood sent this lady as a representative to speak for them about a bill that addresses how babies who survive abortions should be treated. This isn't one outlier, it is a chosen representative who was picked by Planned Parenthood to speak about this very topic. Planned Parenthood hasn't come out and said this selected representative misspoke for them (at least that I am aware of).

He blocked a bill requiring doctors to provide that assistance.

Because if the population did know about it, he would be considered a heartless monster. Honestly, if that is what he actually believes, then any respect for him as a person is gone. I never liked him as a politician, but this is disgraceful.

I know there are variables in this. But all in all disgusting. I unfortunately think right to choose is something that a woman has a right to. But a little baby laying there breathing is killed how the hell could you do that and sleep at night.

I didn't ignore it, I replied to it.

A bill requiring babies born alive be given the same treatment as any other person, was blocked by Obama.

I do agree increased protection for human life undermines Roe v. Wade, since the latter permits the destruction of human life. But that's a copout by Obama, he did not offer any alternative legislation or amendment when he blocked the bill.

I went to Planned Parenthood's website and also looked at some twitter feeds to see if the central office had an official response. Nothing yet. I have to think they will ultimately comment on what the lady said, and I expect they will more-or-less disavow it. I think they wouldn't have some Florida franchisee signal a policy as sensitive as that.

Also, note that it looks like PP is heavily decentralized, with regional offices all having their own advocacy channels. Each regional office has it's own twitter feed, for example, and this lady was lobbying for the Florida chapter. It could be that the central office doesn't have as much control over what their spokespeople say as I would have imagined. Maybe the Florida PP office does feel this way, but they never received or needed permission from high command to espouse it. ACORN had a similar over-decentralization problem. In which case, it doesn't mean much unless other offices support it. I don't know; don't have much personal experience with PP.

A baby who survived an abortion would probably have a pretty poor quality of life.. Just saying you guys should look at it from that pov as well

Some have medical issues, some have cerebral palsy, some live completely normal lives. Almost all of them say they are happier alive then if the abortion took.

Here's a boy who's missing parts of his legs...but he's a high school wrestler, so I'd guess he probably has a decent quality of life.
