This is bullshit. This tragedy had nothing to do with DEI. Any attempt to suggest that it did, as the President callously did yesterday, is grotesquely inappropriate and completely detached from reality. Imagine being so obsessed with your administration’s anti-DEI crusade that you’re willing to speculate wildly without facts, politicize a tragedy, undermine an investigation, and degrade the hard work of our nation’s air traffic controllers. qualified candidates have been rejected due to prior admin DEI policies, and as a result, the FAA is understaffed. that's the point the admin was making, and it's a reasonable one. but IMO, it's not the right time to make this point.
