Unfortunately, it's going to be Dmo.

I would rather have Greg starting, but that doesn't seem like a great fit next to Howard.

I guess the rationale is that Dmo can shoot slightly outside of 6 feet, but that's the extent of his range. :p

Personally, I wish Morey would try to sign/trade for a vet PF that's known to be a decent shooter. I'm thinking like an early-mid 30s Kurt Thomas type of player.

Of course I want LaMarcus Aldridge here, but it's not happening for now.

Drew Gooden is on waivers, and can put the ball in the bucket without a problem. He just got caught up in the youth movement/numbers game in Milwaukee.

Same with Al Harrington--The guy used to be a great scorer. However, I watched him play a few games in Orlando last year, and he's still a good shooter and can stretch the floor.

The problem is that he put on a lot of weight over the last few years, so his conditioning in relation to our fast-paced offense may be of some concern.

Omer could be a great defensive 4, but he and Howard may clog the paint, making it difficult for our guards and SFs to penetrate the lane.

TJones could be interesting, but it seems like, yet again, he's a forward that cannot score efficiently outside of 8 feet.

If all else fails, Chandler could handle the 4 spot at times, though he would get worn down at that position depending on the matchup. I like the idea of putting him at the 4 and bringing 'Cisco into the lineup for defense and shooting:

    Lin
    Harden
    Cisco
    Dmo:(
    Dwight

Either way, any one of these guys is an upgrade from the PFs we currently have on the roster. They need time to develop, but potential doesn't always work out the way you expect. At least with a veteran, you know what you're getting on the court each night instead of inconsistency and a questionable attitude towards coaching/seniority/player direction (Dmo)

I'm hoping Morey has one or two moves left before the season starts. Putting together an epic trade at the deadline is not ideal, in terms of players having enough time to develop chemistry.

We need a solid, full year of this group together to gel. Consistency is everything. Just ask Tmac and Yao. When that duo played together, their winning percentage was amazing.

I think Harden and Howard will need a lot of time to bring it all together and work out the kinks. Jeremy is going to have to learn to give up the ball more quickly in the post and limiting his turnovers. If you make Dwight run up and down the court, you better give him a possession or a decent shot to grab and rebound from.

More reason that we need a more versatile PF that we don't already have.
