No... in your view the Rockets WILL get rid of him. There is no "probably" about it.

You even wanted to place a bet with me that he will be gone because of his legal issue.

And both of those statements of yours are OPINION, and both are different.

    1. It is of your opinion that his position in the Rockets organization is murky at best.

    2. And keeping that opinion in mind, you also hold the opinion that because of his supposed murky position, you believe he is 100% gone.

So you have an opinion on where you think the Rockets stand, and a second opinion about what you think is going to happen... which is that he's as good as gone.

    I can't believe I have to explain this to a grown-ass man.

In my mind you are an idiot.

    http://www.englishforums.com/English/OnMyMindOrInMyMind/ddkzw/post.htm

in my mind = in my opinion/my opinion is.../I think (this)... It's a discourse marker.

In my opinion is not ever a statement of fact. It is my belief, not a fact. If I knew he was gone I would have said it. He is very likely gone is not stating that he will be gone, it just means that he has a high probability of residing elsewhere in the league.

i think we should just start Parsons at PF

he is 6"8 and not much smaller than Ryan Anderson who many on this board love. his shot isnt nearly as good as Anderson but he can help space the floor

    Howard
    Parsons
    Garcia
    Harden
    Lin

That is a solid line up. Garcia can be our Battier

Asik may get to start along side Howard just to make Asik happy.

I say Jones will start. I don't think what happened in Portland is a big a deal as people think it is. I mean, it was terrible, but I don't think it'll be as distracting.

However I do realize you may not be an idiot, but in my mind that is quite unlikely. There is a non zero probability you are not an idiot.

Should be Jones but I get the feeling McHale prefers Donut and will give him the first opportunity to start.

Would have been Delfino for sure if he was still on the roster though

Your response doesn't make any sense in response to what I said.

I stated several times that it is your opinion. That isn't even what the argument is about.

Terrence Jones. The thing in Portland will prove to be nothing. Just a couple of people wanting to get their names in the media.

    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Howard
    Asik

    Garcia for 6th man.

The rest: Beverly/DMo(or Jones?)/Smith will rotate.

    That's a 9 man rotation.

If its Dmo, we're doomed. Dude kills any chemistry on the court, even Smith was a bigger upgrade.

And yet you voted for Camby? Hmmm....

I think Jones and DMo won't be ready to be starters, and Asik will get the nod. Until we have someone to trade him for, Morey is going to keep him happy and that means starting. Plus Asik is much better than Dmo right now, and Jones is just not really all that impressive.

I think you will see Howard and Asik starting together. Asik at PF will be a bit tough since he has no jump shot, but if Howard runs the PnR with Harden and Lin, Asik can play the weak side baseline for easy lay-ups without blocking penetration. The Parsons and the other guard can cover the corner 3's and bam, you got something there.

Long run Motiejunas I think. But if I was betting I would be trying to hedge my bet.

I haven't read the posts ye t, so i don't know if its been posted. But where is Parsons on the poll. If i were actually to post a bet with someone, my odds on favorite would be Parsons. With Garcia starting at the 3.

Jones. Everyone on the team was raving about him when they held their little camp and he has impressed me with his play earlier this summer where it looks like he has been trying to improve his shooting and in small stretches during the regular season last year. I'm not with the D-Mo nod to start. I would have to see what he has done this year in terms of his conditioning.

That is not what statistics say. D-Mo was part of the Rockets third most used 5 man rotation last season and it outperformed every other lineup that had 60 minutes or more. By a long shot. You are basing your opinion on what? Oh wait, the other members of that line up were Lin, Harden, Parsons and Asik. So they were not playing against any second teams.

This is what I was thinking, it worked so well in the playoffs and a lot of All-Star SF's are switching to PF so why not move our SF up to guard them. Of course it will depend on the team we face. If it's Memphis, Smith or Asik would be better starting. Most of the time we should go with Parsons and Garcia. Garcia was clutch in the playoofs.
