Given that we are pouring well over $100 million into a new arena for them, you'd think the least they could do is put "Houston" on it.

In fact, this was something I argued for numerous times. A big letter H or R sound terrifying.

    Could be worse.....

We could have 'Dallas' on our road and HOME uni's.

Mavericks not on the home jersey at least?!?!?!?

    Anyone know Cuban's email address?

The team from Houston in the original Rollerball movie only had a huge digital looking number on the front of their jersey.

Believe it or not he's walking on air,
He never thought he could feel so free
Flying away on a wing and a prayer,
Who could it be? Believe it or not, it's just Steve.

Lakers - have changed color combos and, of course, the colors now are completely different than the early years.

Blazers, as has been posted, uniform design has completely changed over the years. Colors and logo have staid the same.

Spurs have changed their logo and colors.

Sonics have changed their logo, colors, and uniform style more than once.

Bulls have changed their logo, reorganized their color scheme, and style (cursive "Chicago," pinstripes).

Pistons have changed their logo multiple times and have reorganized their color scheme.

    Knicks - I can't think of anything.

    Boston - same as above.

So two of your eight examples apply.

Does anyone now if the original post int his thread is accurate - the uniform design was rejected? Why wouldn't something like this be in the news - I see no reason why it would be a secret?? Just curious.

Purple and gold for as long as I can remember (25 years or so).

Colors and logo are the most important.

This I don't believe. Are you talking about that fiesta crap? When have the Spurs not had that Spur as a logo? When were they anything other than black and white?

But they changed back. Green, yellow, and white are Supersonic colors.

The Bulls have always been red, black, and white for as long as I can remember.

They also changed back. Red, white, and blue, with that red ball as the logo. That's the Pistons.

    I disagree.

The Knicks have had minor changes, such as the one about 1980 for a couple years. The number was on the top of the jersey, and the lettering in a very different font. Also, in the mid-1980's the familiar NY was prominent on the shorts. Not that it would mean I agree with us doing "HR"...

That said, I agree with TheFreak here. Most of those core eight teams are substantially similar.

Incidentally, well done on the pics here, I needed a laugh!

Be afraid. Be very afraid. The Little Caesar uniform is looking better all the time...

    :(

If the Rockets brought back new unis
with RED and WHITE or WHITE and RED
    but w/a new design.

    Most would welcome that.

The classic colors (home/away), but with a more modern design.

By the way, modern should NOT equal "space age" or "tacky."

Modern, but NOT too busy (like the pinstripes).

The old Rocket unis were too simple.
The current unis were to complex.

The Rockets should get a hold of the people that designed the Texan's uniforms and logo. Absolutely perfect. No cutting edge, no gay designers.

I wanna know what makes the Cavs so special?!?!!!!!
Why the hell can't the Rockets unveil their new unis now... besides the fact that they may not be ready... the least they can do is let us see the colors and logo.

Why do so many people want the red and "gold" back? It was more like maroon and a disgusting mustard color. Those colors looked like absolute **** together. Anyways, you NEVER go back to old uniforms, EVER. When you make a change, you get something better, and just as importantly, something new. We need some more younger, more hip posters on this BBS! :D

We went from being giddy about new uniforms to cowering in absolute fear of what will be unleased practically overnight. Houston Rockets basketball. It's fan-tastic.

The NBA did in fact reject the uniforms, as ROCKET RICH NYC posted. I think the Rockets are still debating with them though. I'm not sure when the deadline is.
