the LA Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and etc don't have city names on their jerseys...why does Houston have to be an exception?

the NBA can be just incredibly stupid sometimes.....

Those uni's are tight OmegaSupreme. LOL :D

WTF! Get your $hit together Rockets. How hard is it to get a uniform that is good enough to be approved by the league. Every other team can do it including the Clippers.

The NBA rejected the concept of the Rockets having a uniform, and believe now that isoforms are more appropriate in this particular situation.

Instead of "shirts" the Rockets will now have to go as "skins" and have to paint numbers on their chest. A new design every night :D

First off, I guarantee red was in the design but the gold won't ever come back. The "mustard" was absolutely hated by a lot of people.

Second, no way a team is going BACK to a the old uniforms. The idea of a NEW uniform and logo is to create NEW merchandise. That's how they are even able to sell retro jersies in the first place. The NBA is all about merchandising and they want to bring new stuff into the market so they can, on occassion, capitalize on the old stuff too. If they just put the old stuff back on players, given how hated the pinstripes were, they would have no retro gear to sell. Nobody's doing that.

If this really was a "cutting edge" deisgn, it could have been horrific. And if it was really rejected, the team may have less than a month to get a new concept together. Oh, brother.

The easy solution to this, is to insert Houston on the Jersey right?

Someone make a design on Nike Uniform Builder that I created:

The Arizona base uni w/ their "gold" as the basic color and red/dark red as accent colors.

    It looked appealing.

A HELL lot better than this current ****. Whatever the font was, it looked good saying "HOUSTON".

I also curved the red on the shorts. If anyone wants, check it out. It looks allright.

there was a quote from Steve a while ago that said we had about 6 design's ready, and were deciding which one to submit to the league.

if the one we wanted was rejected, we should have another one ready to be submited by the end of the day.

also, since this one was rejected....is there any chance that we could see it? after all it won't be ruining next seasons surprise.

I think I may have to take a one year sabbatical as a Rocket fan if those PJs stay anylonger than tomorow.
