    I think it's a brilliant marketing move. Giving away 80K $5 pizzas? That what,$400K? I doubt that would go that far in a media budget to get the kind of publicity they are already getting.

    Probably closer to 160k, since the cost of making the pizza is probably like 2 bucks...not bad, but the publicity died down a lot, since it was first announced.

    FWIW, I actually really like Pizza Patron. As low-cost chain pizza goes, it's pretty good.

    I called to make sure it was still on for today, the lady told me the special runs from 5-8 and you don't have to order in Spanish.

    Pizza PAtron is SLAMMINNNNNNN
    I've tried calling in an order the last 20 minutes and the phones been busy off the hook.

    Not only was this great marketing for them, but surely they're winning new customers for future bidness... Once I had my first Patron slice I knew I would be returning in the future

    I don't see what your point really is though. I believe that SA is a more fun town. Nothing's wrong with making that statement, and it doesn't take anything away from what Houston offers.

    So I went to the patron on the north east side and they aren't doing the deal. So many people are pissed and fighting with cashiers.
