It is but there's like three Rockets fans in the state of PA. Watching the game by yourself at home or out with your apathetic friends gets old after a while.

Sorry to bump this again (last time I promise) but is there any Rockets fans out there in the Pittsburgh area that would be interested in grabbing a beer and watching game three?

Watching it with my indifferent friends that sit there and heckle me gets old!!

Bump..... (although, a hesitant "bump" given that we've lost each year this thread has been in existence)

Offer still stands if any Pittsburgh area posters want to meet up for a beer and a playoff game.

When your "famous sandwich" is nothing but french fries along with the typical fare, you know you might be in trouble...

Honestly, I like fries, on occasion, but soggy fries are nasty. Yet Pittsburgh loves them.

The Pitts definitely suits that city. Sorry that even your hero, Terry Bradshaw, loathes it.

Here is the wonder that is the primanti crapwich: I suppose it would work for Phil Spiderman...

^Wrong. You've obviously never been to Pittsburgh. It's a beautiful city full of friendly, cool people.

Fatty fat t*** obviouly has a death wish here. It's fries AND cole slaw in the sandwich, get it right! Is this the second Pittsburgh thread I've had to correct you in? Maybe you should just give up trying to speak intelligenty on anything pertaining to Pittsburgh?? haha

Memphis throws slaw in all of its sandwiches, also.

I think I've learned how to define "crappy city."

And Bats, How long have you lived in Houston? Old memories die hard. We are talking Pittsburgh for pete's sake. Please find me a Redskin, Eagle or Giant board that says "Actually, Dallas is great! The douche to female ratio isn't as horrific as I thought."

Uh, okay. Is that common knowledge? Does anybody associate "Memphis" with a particular type of sandwich?

Houston: Around 30 years off and on
Pittsburgh: Around 3 years off and on
    NYC: 4 years
    Ohio: 2 years
    Chicago: 1 year
Portland, Atlanta, Albuquerque, Providence: Several months each

And I've made extended visits to every major city in the U.S.

I don't decide which city is crappy because of the football team they have. I haven't cared about football since Earl Campbell retired and Bum Phillips got run out of town. Dallas is a crappy city because it's a crappy city, not because of the Cowboys. And quality of life is much better in Pgh than Houston in almost every way. It's an incredibly beautiful town with a lot of history for one thing, while Houston is basically a strip mall built on a swamp. I love Houston but it's just stupid to suggest it's a "better" city than Pittsburgh is.

Also, I'm vegan. So I'm definitely unmoved by your sandwich argument. Another sign of Pittsburgh as a superior metropolitan city is that they actually have great vegetarian restaurants. Houston is dead last among all American cities (including Dallas) in this category.
