So playing basketball means nothing in regards to playing basketball. Gotcha, so you are just trolling.

    Didn't know that. Interesting.

I hope they don't ask for more pick protection!

Daryl would just say no. As he should.

But clutch actually thinks the trade is good even if dmo is healthy.

    Big difference.

Maybe they try to bend Morey over since they know if they void the trade the Rockets go back over the luxury. If the team is desperate enough to stay out of the luxury they might get full lottery protection.

DM would cancel the deal himself.

    You want some "spin"?

The Rockets (and everybody and their mother) knows there's a long-term injury risk with D-mo. ALL BACK SURGERY PLAYERS CARRY THAT RISK.

What people don't know is if he can play now. The Rockets thought he could... but then he had a setback. Thus they decided to take the ultra-conservative approach which would both limit the chances of a setback and preserve some trade value. That includes letting him participate in some low-impact activities such as NBADL basketball. Nobody thinks he can't play in those games... or even a few NBA games with limited minutes. The big question mark is whether or not he can play sustained/heavy minutes over a large stretch of games.

I hate that you require everybody to spell it out to you... because you're so jaded in your opinions/beliefs. As of one day ago, you exclaimed that he was fully healthy and would have provided the Rockets with an opportunity to turn the season around. Now, allofasudden, you're taken a-back by news that nobody found surprising.

The fact that some people still think D-Mo can just quickly bounce back is mind boggling. As far as the people saying it won't affect him as much due to him not being very athletic... I can only shake my head. If the people I've known who have had actually had back injuries (there is a surprisingly high enough number of them which includes my own mother) are anything to go on, D-Mo won't return to form for another 1-2 years, especially if he keeps having occasional flare ups or keeps re-aggravating it, which as a big man that bangs down in the post, I am fairly sure he will.

Frye trade may be voided as well.

He has zero explosiveness and couldn't rebound before his back injury.

Can't imagine that getting better post broken back

Would have to potentially deal with 2 bitter players coming back.

Its the most debilitating/chronic injury for a basketball player... because there is no quick fix.

ACL's... hell, even achilles have been shown to be fully recoverable now (in terms of "fixing" the chance for re-injury). Backs are a different beast. Its why they've likely got a dozen or so differing opinions on the matter from all the doctors involved... its why its not simply black/white when it comes to failing or passing the player on a physical.

I think Thornton would be bitter big time. DMo would probably just laugh it off and be happy to be back even if its just for the rest of the season.
