Apparently they will seriously start him at the 3. Their fans are not happy and are scared a Monroe or Drummond trade for Rondo is next.
josh smith doesn't care about wining he plays for a check and to finish games with a decent stat line. i feel sorry for hardcore pistons fans.
Hahaha another team where Josh Smith can do whatever he wants and not be held accountable. Dumars is pretty stupid as a GM for the great player he was.
I was thinking that as well but I doubt it, as screwed up as that sounds. I don't think they would give him up.
+1 Man, we really could have got this. Josh Smith could have been AWESOME on our roster next to Dwight, and they have been buddies for a very long time ensuring Dwight will be staying. Wasn't part of the reason why Dwight committed here because Josh was seen as coming here too? Their close relationship I thought would have been part of the pitch that landed us Dwight. Despite his shooting woes, Josh Smith is still an all-star calibre player. He is vastly underrated playing in a good but not great team in Atlanta, but he is such a dynamic player that can be a game changer on defense while providing fantastic offense in the paint and can shoot quite well too for a big man. It seems everyone expects their PF to shoot no worse than Kevin Love. I think Morey missed a golden opportunity.
good lord we didnt sign him. man i dont want the ticket price for rockets game to increase just to watch josh smith.
Feel a little relieved. Part of me wanted him, the other part really thought he would mess up our offense.
Guess Morey didn't want to pay him close to $14M/year. You'd think Houston would be preferable if the $ is roughly equal.
Dumars won a championship with less luck than probably any GM that most people remember. Name a GM that won a championship with less luck than Dumars.
The injury to Malone was pretty fortunate for the Pistons. There was a big difference in Lakers offense, their ball movement in particular, with and without Malone. Luke Walton was filling in instead.
