This season he actually showed me he had some solid on the ball skills as well. He had several big assist games when Iverson went out with injury. He got to the rack, made plays for others, it was interesting to watch.
Rip was a much more versatile player in his earlier years. If he can get back to being a creator when necessary then he would be great for us...i'm just not sure if he can. If he remains just a scorer off of screens, I don't think he's enough to make us real championship contenders.
Good perimeter game. Knows to move without the ball to free up himself for an open shot. Can create his own shot and not that bad in defense. Perfect for the sg spot for the Rockets.
