what do you think after being punked by wade, then lebron, then paul pierce? for 3 straight years when arguably they had the better team defense, rebounding?

out of nowhere this is the lead story/debate on Around the Horn.

I think Dumars is interested, but the Rockets aren't.

You are blind. Didn't Dumars say he would trade for a franchise player? They went after Carmelo and now they want TMac. TMac, Rip and Sheed should easily make it to the ECF.

Rip or Sheed would have to come back to us along with Billups for that move to even happen.

NOOOOO trade damnit! It would be pain in the neck for me to follow two teams. Yao and Tmac is my dream team!

You pick Sheed over Prince??? sigh... I don't think any combination of the the four works for me. Maybe just maybe Rip and either Billups or Prince

I think the Pistons know no matter who they pick up their window for another Championship is quite small. They have two seasons MAX before they have to go into full rebuilding mode no matter if they pick up Tmac or Anthony. They have some decent young guys but none of those guys are going to replace what Billups/Hamilton/Wallace give them.

Personally, short of Lebron I don't see one guy being able to get this team over the hump now or two years from now. At least, not when they will lose either Chauncey and/or Rip to get that player. Time to blow it up in Detroit or stand pat and hope to hell that Garnett or Pierce (or Lebron for that matter) can't play in the playoffs next season.

TMac, Sheed and Rip/Chauncey is a formidable threesome. Heck TMac with any of the two Pistons makes them a formidable team in the east even against the Celtics, definitely makes the Piston better than their current team. Whether they can win a championship or not is a whole different story. We are after all talking about three legitimate superstars (Celtics) in one team here and don't forget the Lakers with their trio superstars (Kobe, Gasol, Bynum+Odom).

I already know this. First off it's a pipe dream for them and 2nd , value don't add up to what their real intentions are to use him for. If he goes to Detroit they have every intention to ship him back into our own division to Portland for some kind of youth movement. People should not be stupid. As for Portland it benifits them the most that is why these are "Rumors" completely false.

Bayless, Fernandez, LaFrentz etc.. Yea they would just love to have both Wallace and LaFrentz come off there books to take back salary from Denver to land Carmelo while still obtaining Bayless, Fernandez, etc..

    What EVER !!

Interesting. You do know neither Fernandez nor Bayless could be traded until December?

Why would Joe Du (not short for Du ... mb) trade to retrade? His pieces should be appealing enough to Blazers on their own merit.

God dammit (so frustrating), I'm not looking at it from my/the Rockets perspective. The Pistons would most likely prefer to keep Prince out of their big 4.

That's the problem with all of you tradeologists, you never consider what the other team would want to do.

I'd prefer we keep T-Mac and just hope him and yao stay healthy. If both of thema re healthy then the Rockets are a championship contender.
