Yea, the Pistons have some good parts, but trading McGrady and Getting back Hamilton and something else, doesnt make our Offense that much better.

I would rather have McGrady than Billups and Hamilton.

But if they offered Billups, Hamilton and Stuckey, I might do it.

Very rational thinking on your part. I'm sure the Pistons will give up their starting PG and backup PG.

Stuckey is the future of that franchise and the entire reason that Dumars is willing to part with Billups (a playoff warrior with a ring who still has some years in his body).

To think Stuckey would be part of any deal is ludicrous at best.

Maybe if you learn how to write coz your original sentence seems to imply that Rip or Sheed is your wishlist. And no, Prince is not who Detroit wants to keep, its Rip. Duh

But today's news said that Piston has never consider T-Mac for trading.

    Is the gossip all fake?

dumars has publicly went after melo. but all the tmac has just been speculation. if anything, dumars called morey and asked about tmac and said the players that were available and morey hung up the phone.

denver didn't even want billups and prince for melo. you know what morey did when the same offer was brought up.

I think they should close any thread that mentions Tmac going to Detroit unless Rip Hamilton is involved. Period.

I don't know why some of ya'll would trade Tmac to the Pistons for players like Prince, Billups, or Hamilton. You all have to really understand...This trade would bring the Rockets down and the Pistons will be alot better. If we ever trade McGrady, the other team will always benefit from the trade more than we will. Look at Orlando, when they trade McGrady for Francis and Cat, the Rockets became contenders even though we lost to Dallas in a fixed playoff series. McGrady's worth is underrated. I know alot of you think he is injured prone... Think about him this season, have he had any problems with his back? No, he was battling tendinitis but that was about it. Yea he misses some games but he is way more reliable than Yao Ming.

Because those gentlemen are proven winners. If Detroit is silly enough to break up their perennial conference finalists for a second round virgin, we have to jump at the chance.

Pistons deny they're close to a deal for Tracy McGrady

    http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080711/SPORTS03/80711079/1051

A team source indicated today that the Pistons are not “remotely” close to a deal for Houston Rockets superstar Tracy McGrady.

Metronews.ca, which is based in Toronto, said in an Internet report — but cited no sources — that the Pistons are "making a big push for McGrady."

The Pistons source downplayed the report, saying the Rockets are just one of many teams to whom the club has spoken about potential trades.

McGrady, a 6-foot-8 forward with 11 seasons under his belt, spent his first three seasons in Toronto. He averaged 21.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists last season for Houston.

If that falls through, lets trade him for Horry and Finley. They are much more proven then the Detroit players.

as someone pointed out, with your TMac hating logic, we might as well go after Robert Horry and Fisher then. Learn to think before you type. You wouldn't want to trade your Yao - who is always hurt and also a second round virigin - for the same players now would you?

If it was up to antithink he would trade everyone on the team. he may have won a few too many rounds of fantasy basketball for his own good.

If billups alone is better than Mcgrady. Then maybe my friends were wrong when I told them I'll marry Jessica Alba one day.

I honestly don't think Billups is that good a player. As far as I'm concerned, a top 3 PG would at least be a franchise player with a major impact on the game. This is basically saying if Billups was on the rockets instead of McGrady. We would achieve at least the same or if not better results. Or if Billups replaced Nash the suns would still be at least a contender of some sort (which I highly doubt).

Now, this is dreaming. I watch games, and I watched how Billups played. Against celtics when they won on road. Hamilton was terrific. In fact Hamilton was probably the best player in detroit in that series. Whiles Billups was just taking contested shots after contested shots. And he rarely passes as well. At least not passes that will get his teammates an open shot.
