LOL, Dumars fluked his way to one elite group and proceeded to be an absolute embarrassment afterward.

Poor Pelicans fans, they don't deserve what they've got. No fanbase does.

This really does seem like a step backward.

New Orleans is an LSU football and Saints town. There isn't much passion leftover for the Pels.

How did Dumars fluke his way into an elite group??? He was the president of basketball operations starting in 2000. He traded for Billups, Hamilton, R Wallace in that time frame. He also drafted Tayshaun Prince in 2002. He hired Rick Carlisle and then Larry Brown. His huge blunder was drafting Milicic over Wade/Bosh/Melo, which screwed him over after they broke up the championship team. He did suck rebuilding the team, there is no doubt about that, but he did well for himself in the 1st half of his front office career with the Pistons.
