you won't find out until you watch it, the first one was amazing, the second was just basically more of part one, they did not really go anywhere with the story. hopefully part III brings it all together...

Too bad we wasn't playing our legendary priate, Cheung Bo Chai. It may boost up the tourism industry in Hong Kong as many may like to visit the cave where Cheung kept his treasures.

You forgot Shrek III, which comes out the week before Pirates and 2 weeks after Spidey.

This is goonna be one hell of a summer (box office wise), especially with other event pics such as Die Hard and Transformers coming out.

When we first learned that Chow was taking part in this movie, the media in Hong Kong said that Chow would play the character Cheung Bo Chai. But the name of Chow's character in the movie is like "Sao Feng" therefore I believe he was playing some other fabricated character.

Cheung (1786 - 1822) was leading a fleet of over 600 ships as a priate along South China Sea in the Ching Dynasty. He was kidnapped by a pirate at the age of 15 and became a pirate himself when he grown up. His fleet battled with Portugese and English fleets and he treated the farmers and fishermen very well therefore he actually gained supports from the oridinary citizens to fight against Ching's Government and foreigners. Sorry that my English is not good enough to translate the articles for you but if you knew some Chinese, you may visit the following sites.
