does the after taste bother you people. I tried sweet n low like maybe.....5 times in my life and i get some nasty after taste that makes me not want to try it for another 5 years. Especially diet coke, how do u guys bear it. I don't understand, am i the only one that has this horrible expierence?
I always order iced tea the same way: "Bring me a large glass of iced tea. No lemon. No spoon. No straw. No sugar. No sprig of green leafy whatever. ... Just ice and tea. Thank you."
Don't know for sure, but sacchrin might end up being safer than aspartame.... A rule of thumb is pink for hot and blue for cold. Nutrasweet isn't supposed to be good under high temps... Not sure if that's true or not...
Black: But once you go black... Anyway, normally, I would NEVER drink tea of any kind; that's before I moved to the real south and discovered an addiction: Granted, sweet tea gets nauseating after you have too much of it, but sweet tea is the ****. Trying to mix [fake] sugar into unsweetened iced tea is one of the most pathetic and degrading things known to man. I highly recommend people to head over to Publix pick up a half gallon of Publix brand sweet tea; I've already converted one New Yorker.
southern sweet tea is one of the greatest things on earth. anyone who disagrees should be reprimanded. see chick-fil-a for a quality mass produced sweet tea. it's all about the simple syrup solution amfootball mentioned earlier. while the tea is still very hot, pour a generous portion of sugar (i like natural turbanido(?) sugar) into the hot tea and stir until it is completely dissolved. ice then enjoy. has my mouth watering as i type.
Really. Tea, ice, and plenty of fresh lemon. Repeat about 6 times while munchin' some chicken-fried steak.
My step mother who is from Odessa ruined sweet tea for me. she loaded it up with so much sugar you could feel the teeth rotting out of your mouth. Tea, nice and dark, no add ons.
Some of us like that "aftertaste", I guess. My favorite drinks are either Diet Coke or tea/coffee with the pink packets. Saccharin will not hurt you. If you consume the equivalent of 1000 pink packets a day, you may run a slight risk of cancer. This was determined by an experiment done with animals many years ago. This is normally something that wouldn't be reported - too much of anything is poisonous - but due to a "zero tolerance law" for artificial food substances that would cause cancer, the government was technically supposed to ban it once they found out. Since that would be ridiculous in this case, they just put that little warning on there. Long live the pink packets. If anyone gets cancer from that (or from aspartame for that matter)... well, I'll be the human experimental subject, so it will happen to me first.
